I actually run a negative RR system so my losses can be bigger than my winners so its not out of the ordinary to see I big red day pop up somewhere on my P&L. That said I have a high WR and my PF/Sharpe ratio are both strong so I know its just part of the game for me. You might just have had an unlucky streak but looking at the amount of trades I don't think that's the case. I have a very strict rules that I rely on and max 2 trades a session

Yes. Sell it. Buy an index, and even if you are down 10-15%, it will recover slowly and steadily. Because right now, even if the individual stock goes up 200%, your PF might not recover.
Sell it, reallocate to an index, and just see how much you are down right now in percentage terms at the portfolio level, not at the individual stock level. Buy the index and hold it. You will see your money getting recovered.

*Most of you are grinding intraday, so this might not be on your radar. But if you trade events - any kind of scheduled release - here's a trap that'll bite you:*
*You rack up 200 trades on one instrument, PF looks juicy. Problem is, they all came from the same 20 event days. You don't have 200 trades, friend. You have 20 coin flips, and you just happened to bet 10 times on each.*
*What I actually check: when that event hit, how did the whole basket move? Not "did my pick win", "was my signal right about the world, or did I just get lucky drawing one ticker?" That shiny PF on a single coin can be you pulling a winner from a hat full of noise. Zoom out before you trust the number.*

Currently, I keep the long term SIP goals to limited to equity MF. Investments like gold and PF are not a part of planned strategic investment like SIP, those are managed separately and there are some unplanned factors that contribute to such investments. But overall I think I don't need anymore debt or gold assets in my MF portfolio as I hold them outside MF already.

Shipping ranges from $6.50-$9 for Ground Advantage. Priority Mail for $12.50-$16. And $33 for Priority Mail Express. I pack every package securely and safely with lots of tape. Im an orb trader. I have done alot of back and foward testing. I do have an indicator. But you can find an edge. Just need to know the right filters. And how to handle different markets. I use 7 years of data. I have a decent win rate and good PF factor. Its not gonna make you rich in 3 months. But its consistent. And is good for scaling accounts.

OOS came out PF 2.15

Not the "few years + live trading" person you asked for — I'm a student too and everything I have is backtest work. But I just came out of the exact stage you're in, so here's the one thing I wish someone had told me earlier.
**"Most of them ended up around breakeven" is not a neutral result. It's usually a failed result wearing a disguise.**
I ran six classic intraday families over 14.5 years of index data. PFs came out 0.91, 0.94, 0.95, 0.98, 1.00, 1.02 — textbook breakeven, low drawdown, win rates right in your range. Looked like they just needed tuning.
Then I ran one check: drop the top 10% of trades by profit and recompute PF. Results were 0.42, 0.36, 0.33, 0.30, 0.38, 0.28. Every one of them was a handful of outliers carrying a losing distribution. There was nothing there to tune.
That check is about ten lines of code and it's the highest-value thing in my process now. If the curve dies when you remove the best 10%, the edge was never real — you found a few lucky trades, not a strategy.
Two bugs that cost me real time, both invisible until you look for them:
* Stop-loss evaluated on the close instead of the intraday high/low. Systematically optimistic.
* Swing highs/lows referenced before they're confirmed. A swing point isn't known until N bars later; if your logic uses it earlier, your backtest is reading the future.
On common beginner mistakes generally — for me it wasn't any single bug. It was running \~50 rounds of testing before realizing that at that count, pure chance alone should have handed me two or three false passes. Once you've searched that much, a passing result tells you almost nothing. Set your pass criteria before the run and don't move them afterward.
Curious what the top-10% cut does to those seven Indian equity strategies — that'd be a fast sanity check and I'd like to know if it holds up outside my data.

I’d be more worried about *how* you get from 0.9 to 1.25 than whether the raw PF starts above 1.
If every filter comes from looking at the same losing trades, you can probably “improve” almost anything. The real test is whether those improvements survive data they never saw.
A mediocre raw idea that improves for a defensible reason seems more interesting to me than a 1.5 PF I can’t explain.
