I’m 25 and live in Florida. I recently got promoted to an MCA underwriting role making $75K/year.
Current financial picture:
\\\~$185K invested
Holdings: GOOG, AMZN, BRK.B, WM, JPM, NOW, SOFI, and OSCR
\\\~$17K cash in a SoFi HYSA earning around 4.5%
Monthly expenses are extremely low, usually around $400–$800
Currently finishing my Finance degree and expect to graduate in 2027
I also have an active Florida real estate license, although I haven’t really used it yet
My main goal right now is figuring out how to accelerate my net worth while I’m still young and have very few expenses.
I’m motivated to keep increasing my income and investing aggressively, but I’m wondering whether I should be focusing more on:
Increasing my income through underwriting/finance
Building a side income stream
Using my real estate license
Investing more aggressively
Diversifying my portfolio
Eventually buying investment real estate
Or simply continuing what I’m doing and letting compounding work
For people farther along in their FIRE journey: if you were 25 with roughly $200K in financial assets, very low expenses, and a $75K income, what would you focus on over the next 5 years?
Anything you wish you had done differently at this age?
sentiment -0.12
