60k in Voo, 20k in QQM, and then 10k in Avuv, and 10k spread between VXUS/IDMO/AVDV.

Can you do both? Split your commitment to VYMI & IDMO?

I just bought SPMO, and just like IDMO, you can get explosive growth and loss. VYMI will grow a bot less and lose a bit less. All depends on what your goal is and willingness to take some big hits when the market corrects. I'm went in with SPMO to hopefully have the highest growth from the S&P in my Roth. I have 10 years before I retire, so I'm hoping for good results. If I was on a 30 year glide path I'd go VTI and VT and call it a day. As an aside, I have plenty of growth in my 401K, CC style ETFs in my taxable, and the Roth is for fun and making huge returns if I can. I do balance the Roth with SCHD and FSMDX for some mid caps and a quality dividend grower.

IDMO only looks like it's higher yield because of huge payout in December that I assume was a one time special dividend. I don't know this fund but that's what it looks like to me and I wouldn't include that in forward yield %.

I currently hold VYMI and was just looking if there was a better fund out there. IDMO has a higher dividend and higher growth rate. I get that it is more concentrated but it is 200 companies! I also understand that the companies change and the interest rate could fall but not likely since international companies love their divvies. Should I sell VYMI and full send IDMO?

r/stocks_picks but if you have to ask, you're not ready.
You should probably stick to etfs. More volatile etf examples: VGT, SPMO, XMMO, FMTM, IDMO, SMH, AIS, DRAM, etc.

I don’t know enough about them. CHPS looks solid but it’s more cyclical, that can change though. Semis are hot right now. I think they’ll have drop but will be fine long term. Kind of like SMH. Low expected as ratio. I would DCA. I’m not big into international but probably good to have some and FRDM has had a great year. I have SPMO and FMTM. Plan on holding long time. IDMO is also another momentum international. I like momentum and small cap value. But there’s a lot of way to make it well. I have satellite is Avuv and Avdv lot less in Avdv which is small cap international. I think you have solid picks.

This is already a pretty clean factor sleeve honestly. You're not doing anything silly here. The one thing I'd flag is that AVGV is a global all-cap value fund, so it already holds emerging and developed ex-US inside it. Layering AVXC on top mostly just doubles up your EM value weight. Fine if that's the bet you want. But it isn't really a new factor, just more of the same tilt.
On momentum, SPMO and FMTM are both US, so they overlap a lot on the same large-cap winners whenever momentum crowds into the mega caps. If you want momentum to actually diversify the sleeve, international momentum like IDMO does more work than a second US fund. And I'd go easy on 20% in FMTM when it's barely a year old. You just don't have a full cycle yet to see how that monthly rotation holds up in a chop.
Bones are good though. I'd just decide whether AVXC is genuinely a different bet, or only EM-value round two...

Honestly, that seems sensible. You're young and can handle the risk cause we have the luxury of time. I'm invested in mostly momentum funds. SPMO, FMTM and IDMO are my core holdings, alongside my country's etf for local exposure.

There’s so many ways you can do it. That would work. I like SPMO, FMTM AVUV for a small cap value I don’t have a lot of international, but I do have AvDV. I hear it’s good to pair with IDMO for momentum. I’m trying to consolidate. There’s so many great funds in Stocks out there and then it’s easy to find things that under perform. Top mistake for a new investors when I started was just picking too many things. Everything sounds good. It’s easier to buy hard to sell.

I feel like you're on the right path. Value is good. Momentum is good. It's arguable that this portfolio won't exactly do wonders against VTI /VXUS though but at least it isn't overly complex. When IDMO + AVDV is right there, why would you instead choose those other 2 funds? Also why would you gamble 20% on a new fund like FMTM? I do strongly believe in having a mix of passive funds and active funds, as well as taking some sector gambles, however your selection & concentration seems less than optimal. It's not "bad" at all, but I don't think it will yield anything special, and when that is the case, it's best not to bother... I make tons of portfolio gambles, but their overall portfolio allocations end up negligible. So I "bet" on dozens of funds and hope that in the end I am correct on most of them, but if a few of them don't pan out, it won't hurt me, yet I will still be beating the average vanilla indexes. This is my philosophy.
