The stock market is at an all time high. You didn’t lose money in the stock market. You lost money on GME.

they also have a lower trailing earnings multiple than GME so…. i guess they are indeed fucked?

having warrants exist forever is totally good for GME IMO.

I keep my post history private because I like to disappoint people. But I’m extremely bullish on GME if you ask me.

Where is the lie. Objectively a CEO's primary job is to drive shareholder value. Objectively shareholder value for GME keeps going down. These are facts.

Well, of course that is always the justification, just like every day we are one day closer to death. I thought that when DRS numbers were rising every earnings report that was good, it made me feel good about being invested in this because all I cared about was MOASS, not actually having to turn the failing business around. Ever since the “mishandled splividend” that was never properly addressed (from what I understand some GME employee checked the wrong box on a form so instead of legit shares getting 3 additional shares, all shares were simply multiplied by 4) it’s been downhill from then, not to mention and RC diluting during RK’s livestream.

The point I'm making is that there are established election rules that are specific to the type of action that shareholders are voting on, and who can represent the shareholder.
The question now is, do these restrictions make it easier or harder for GME to make a deal with eBay.

Absolutely nothing beats posts focusing on apes conceiving of actual business ideas. In another popular thread a couple weeks ago they suggested that GME could simply create a competing marketplace if eBay won’t sell.

My understanding is, you can exercise a warrant to buy a share as the set price of 32$.
So at any point above 32$, GME is basically giving away money. It doesnt really cost them anything, other than the opportunity cost (right term?) of having sold that share at market value - so they arent losing money, but they are losing potential profit.
IF gamestop was looking out for us, they wouldnt care about issuing loyal shareholders discount shares. But, do they care? Probably not lmao.
Shareholder value is likely not something they care other than keeping apes strung along for as long as possible. Otherwise, why did they authorize so many additional shares?
At this point we're just along for the ride, hoping whatever RC does to benefit himself trickles down to us.

Yep, sure thing. Good thing it was just your imaginary friend, btw why would you be so concerned about putting that story out here? We're only concerned with buying shares of GME, DRS'ing, holding, and circlejerking about the stock trading sideways. This isnt a support group for red portfolio numbers.

I actually think it would be great if someone could create a store that would distribute our mountains of junk to people who actually want the junk. Do I think GME can do that? Not without some huge changes.
GME's locations are way too small.

They'd need get a big, cheap building in the run-down part of town, like an old, abandoned supermarket so they could store all the stuff people bring. Then someone would have to go through all of it and price it. People would need to clearn, test and possibly make slight repairs to the egg-beaters and lamps and stuff. Then maybe it doesn't sell. What do they do with it then? Or it sells and is returned. There would be pleanty of customers who are mad that GME is selling gramma's china for $30 so that would be a fun part of it all Being a super-middleman is a complicated proposition.
What cut does GME get from doing all this work? I would say they'd have to take like 80% at least. Not 30%.
Of course goodwill and consignment stores exist already. I think goodwill even has a website where you can buy stuff. So its possible to make money doing all of this.

Goodwill has a revenue of like $7 billion - and like 500 million in net income. But they get 100% of the money from the items donated to them and people volunteer to work for them sometimes. And people actually like them and trust them.

Reading that was like listening to 10th graders debate whether Spacex or Tesla is the better investment. Not a single one of those idiots asked why Cohen has not updated his eBay offer after it was denied. I wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t even asked eBay what they want for GME to acquire them.

Forgive me and my smooth brain but… this would actually be brilliant if GME could buy all the warrants back… because when the warrants are executed to buy a share for $32, don’t those proceeds go directly to gamestop?? So then they are effectively buying shares at warrant prices yeah?

From multi million dollar shares to GME being a $20 “value play”.

Comparing two wildly different operating models notwithstanding.... Berkshire trades at 15x trailing earnings and GME trades at 16x.

He never even had a stake worth reporting, he was using GME as a platform for himself because GME gets people excited.
Burry does not.
I’m pretty sure I have more shares than Burry ever had, and it’s too risky for him. If GME is too risky for him, I’ve heard enough from him on any investment.
Unsubscribe.

That sounds like a really good argument for buying eBay over GME. If eBay has all this untapped growth potential, why wouldn’t investors just own eBay directly and take advantage of the premium GME will pay AND the benefits of Cohen making the combined company more efficient?
