Hey man! Have you tried backtesting his strategy over the past year?
Tell me if this lines up with what you are seeing. I found that his strategy had a 19% win rate and a negative profit factor. Over the course of a year, the strategy lost ALL its principle and blew its account risking 2% per trade. Does that sound right to what you are seeing?
Alex G is a scammer and grifter who makes his money selling courses. His strategy, as he describes it online, doesn't work. As you can see, never trust people on the internet with your finances without rigorously scrutinizing and testing everything. Especially if they claim to have turned $100 into $1m in 90 days.
There are tons of complaints about him all over the internet and deep dives into him as a trader. Going forward, assume everyone is a liar, a scammer, and unprofitable. Beware of survivorship bias, assume all the lambos, watches, and houses are fake and used to portray a life style that they dont have or that they got selling courses.
Run away from this guy far and fast.

Sorry for my writing and spelling in advance. I am from Germany, so no native speaker here :D
I'm a long-term investor (M23) only investing in ETFs (plus a little gambling portfolio with stocks for fun). I'm currently a student and working at a bank part-time, where I also did my apprenticeship for 2.5 years. My whole financial allocation is built around an Excel sheet that has a 75/12.5/12.5 structure (Expenses/Saving/Investing), where I track my monthly spending and investments.
My whole intention is to just let my portfolio run and do a rebalancing every 6 months. Here is my allocation:
**Core (60%)**
* Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (USD) Accumulating (IE00BK5BQT80)
**Satellites (10% each)**
* iShares Edge MSCI World Value Factor UCITS ETF (IE00BP3QZB59)
* iShares Listed Private Equity UCITS ETF USD (Acc) (IE000D8FCSD8)
* iShares MSCI World Small Cap UCITS ETF (IE00BF4RFH31)
* Xtrackers MSCI Emerging Markets UCITS ETF 1C (IE00BTJRMP35)
I am investing 12.5% of my income into that portfolio. I was trying to find evidence-based alpha boosters because I want to go into more risky assets and factor allocations to get a better outcome after \~35-40 years, hopefully :D. I also looked at the correlations between performances, so there is always something underperforming, allowing me to invest counter-cyclically.
**!!! Feel free to give me your opinion on that allocation and the ETFs picked !!!**
**The Rebalancing Part:**
I do my rebalancing based on my Excel sheet, where I built a formula to rebalance based on the % difference to the 52-week high. The ones that are relatively cheaper get more of my monthly investment rate. The formula also has safety boundaries. For example, if the allocation for the Core drops below 55%, it sets the rate to 1.2 \* savings rate; if it goes above 65%, it's 0.3 \* savings rate. Between those, it's dynamic: `((0.6 or 0.1) * (1 - (% change from the 52-week high * 4)))`. That's my "reallocation factor".
So every 6 months, I plug in my new ETF units, the Excel sheet calculates the numbers, and that's my new savings rate for the next half-year.
**Bonus Investments:**
My Excel sheet tells me when there is a bigger crash in relation to the 52-week high. My one-time investment is based on the % change from the 52-week high to today and is only "if possible" (since I don't want to hold a cash reserve due to opportunity costs):
* **Drop >10%** : Market is correcting (invest 3 \* savings rate)
* **Drop >20%** : Crash (invest 10 \* savings rate)
* **Drop >30%** : Big AF crash (invest 25 \* savings rate)
**Final Words:**
To be honest, it's really hard for me to talk to anyone in my personal life about investing, because every time I try, people aren't even interested. So in advance: thanks for every comment, idea, and opinion. It means a lot to me!
