Dear fellow Bogleheads,
I started investing last year at the age of 37. I am a German citizen but I am currently living and working in the US. Because I continue to pay into the German retirement fund and I will return to Germany at some point, I am not investing money purely for retirement, but more like a general future fund. Maybe it will be used to enjoy life more in retirement or it will be used for a house down the road. I don't know yet. But the plan is to have a long-term investment that sits and when I need the money, I have access to it. It is a mix of ETFs that have shown good growth in the past and ETFs that bring in yearly or quarterly dividends.
My portfolio is currently built like this:
* **30.74 % VOO** (Vanguard S&P 500 ETF)
* **28.39 % BND** (Vanguard Total Bond Market Index Fund ETF)
* **24.20 % VYM** (Vanguard High Dividend Yield Index Fund ETF)
* **8.88 % FLIN** (Franklin FTSE India ETF)
* **7.79 % EUDG** (WisdomTree Europe Quality Dividend Growth Fund)
sentiment 0.97
