Good resource but some of his funds are highly questionable. FSCO and EICC are just a few. If I'm buying higher yielding income I'm looking for funds that don't have a history of losing value. I also don't want to be jumping around or always having to pay attention.
There's absolutely no need to stretch for a few extra points with sketchy funds when you can get a much safer income bucket of between 8 - 9% with a mix of higher quality income funds, dividend growth etfs, BDCs, Cefs and corporate bonds. In fact if you position it right in a few years the income should meet and then exceed what you would get currently with more risky funds thru dividend growth. And you'll get capital appreciation as icing on the cake.
