Been faring well using VT 75%% + UPRO 15% and EFO 10% in my Roth.
The CFA society backtested leverage and found it to be additive. I have found the same. If there is a multiyear bear market it will look horrible but thats why I am 75% VT.
I buy Value stocks in my Traditional IRA and have outperformed though.
