For a one and done, I would choose AVGE, AVGV, or VT. They hold thousands of stocks at market cap weights. You will capture the 35-40% ex-US markets efficiently and never have to rebalance.
If you want to overweight US, then try VTI/VXUS, that’s the most common two funds that are recommended. I like DFUS/AVUS and DFAX/AVNM/AVNV as potentially better alternatives to those two though, if you want to take tracking error risk for possible higher returns.
All have outperformed the Vanguard counterparts.

DFUS or AVUS would be quite similar to VTI but does filter out “junk” stocks. They are actually more tilted to small cap value though, but for DFUS thats incredibly minuscule. Look up Avantis and Dimensional’s trading methodology to improve on index funds a bit.

If you don’t want to invest in small cap junk then think about DFUS. Value tilt? DFAC or AVUS.
