I don't really get the beginning of the year argument but I've certainly seen it. My mother got in April/May time frame and appears to be very, very well set with this one. Every single thing I choose for her has to be able to consistently beat SGOV over the intermediate period. This CPSP looks very, very solid.

Never heard of some of these. CPSP is an interesting one. From what I gather, it give you a capped upside of say, 6%, but guarantees you won't lose principal? And you have to be in it at the beginning of the year, otherwise the cap goes down?
