I have never been a fan of the buffered ETFs that allow for 5-10-15% downside, and 5-10-15% upside. There are these new breeds that now offer 100% downside protection- IF you hold for 1 year (July to July ticker is CPSJ). Upside is capped around 10% I think? Fee is 70 bps and will prob bleed a little from option execution costs. Does anyone make a case for these- or against these? Obvious case for is no worry on a death roll in the market. Against is- just invest less in stocks and more in cash/bonds. Thoughts?
