78800 CE - 200 to 500 then immediately to 100.
78800 PE - From 75 to 0 in less than 5 secs.
Entire day there was a huge straddle at this strike price. Premiums did not move with the index at all. No decay nothing.
Now govt should legalise betting and crypto as well. Afterall markets are worse than those.

Bro, you are carrying options into next day and not bothering about theta decay??
Options will always decay with time, and it is more intense during close hours. So even if the market shoots up your option wont reflect that.
Like a ...... you have bought far OTM options for the week, Delta for such options is barely 0.25. That means if nifty moves up by 100 points your option will travel by just 25. but there is also theta which deflate ur 25 to 15.
Now coming to your case specifically, you bought the options near close, during the last few minutes volumes dip considerably and price discovery becomes very erratic. You just made a bad entry, because at the close 24800 CE also touched 47. For someone like that person, he is already in the green with 10 point gain by close which matches with the maths above.
Sorry for the long explanation.

Hmm this is what I do.
I had BSE CE as BTST, closed at opening itself with 1600 loss, the loss could have been more than 4k by now.
So always plan where to exit before entering. That's what I do.

I bought 1800 (3 lots) of Adani Green Aug 1380 CE at 57.98 overnight position. In the morning it was running a profit of 4-5k, based on the falling prices i averaged it out, but currently running a loss of 17k, unable to understand what is happening decay or overall the market sentiment is the same? Observed all the foreign markets rallied up but only the indian market is bearish

See the screenshots, one is yesterday's closing SS, another one is today's SS.
Yesterday, aug fut closed at 24550, index closed at 24614. The 4th aug nifty50 24500 CE premium ended at rs 114 which is indicating that option premiums followed the actual index.
Look at today's price moments, Aug FUT is up by 150 points, index is at -1 point lower, but the 24600 option premium is up by 60 points. Which is indicating that option premiums are now following the aug fut.
Day light scam.

Now this will also be manipulated by Jane street as soon as they figure out CAS options right on expiry day or any day given their amount of funds to control options chain, do not assume it will always be bullish on CE options past 3:15, better don't hold or don't trade post session.

And check 4th August expiry Calls and Puts charts.
Nifty stopped trading at 3.15 PM then how come calls went up 50% (24450 CE went from 60 to 107) between 3.15 PM to 3.25 PM and puts fell by around 50%, if no one knew CAS closing price was gonna be way higher. Similarly, puts price fell 50-60% between 3.15 to 3.25 PM. So definitely, big players had the idea of closing price direction.

On expiry day, premiums have zero extrinsic value, they have only intrinsic value.
24500 closed at 114.
Spot closed at 24614.
Do the math, (spot - strike = 24614-24500=114)
114 is the intrinsic value of 24500 CE. And where did it close? It closed at 114.
24614-24550 = 64
24550 ce closed at 64. Simple.
So my understanding is that CAS will effect Premiums only on expiry days. It didn't effect next week expiry, or yesterday because options have extrinsic value, that is time.
So hero zero is so back on expiry days lmao

In the dog days of summer, when many traders and investors in the microcap market sector can be distracted with vacations, companies with low public floats can "go on sale".  These two companies in the healthcare sector fits this description. Check the charts on both--recently going from recent highs to recent lows. GOVX traded over $4 in the past few weeks and closed on 4/03 at $0.70. MODD was at $6.00...now at $2.23. Monitoring these two medical/healthcare plays for news can change investor sentiment in a "heartbeat".
**Potential Catalysts for Geovax (Nasdaq:GOVX)**
* **GEO-MVA Phase 3 immuno-bridging trial initiation expected in Third/Fourth Quarter 2026**
* The company's near term catalyst would formally begin the pivotal study supporting an expedited European regulatory pathway.
* GEO-MVA is GeoVax's most immediate commercialization opportunity.
* **Announcement that first GEO-MVA patient has been dosed**
* First patient dosing press release usually follows trial initiation.
* Typically attracts micro-cap biotech investor attention stocks.
* **AGE1 manufacturing milestone**
* **AGE1 continuous avian cell line platform** is a proprietary vaccine manufacturing technology that GeoVax licenses for producing its **Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA)** vaccines, including **GEO-MVA**.
* Significant because scalable manufacturing is integral to GEO-MVA commercialization and positioning for U.S./European biosecurity initiative
* **Government or biodefense partnership announcements** **progress with Gedeptin Phase 2**
* Continues to position GEO-MVA as a strategic biodefense asset.
* **Potential for a BARDA, European procurement, or strategic manufacturing partnership**. BARDA develops medical countermeasures that address the public health and medical consequences of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) accidents, incidents and attacks, pandemic influenza, and emerging infectious diseases.
* Current management guidance points to the Phase 2 combination study beginning in 2027, however **near-term news could include protocol, regulatory, or preclinical combination updates before the beginning of clinical trials**.
* **Business development/licensing agreements**
* Management has repeatedly emphasized a partnership-oriented strategy for both GEO-MVA and Gedeptin.
* Any regional licensing or co-development deal would likely be viewed positively because it could reduce future financing needs.
**Near term catalysts for Modular Medical (Nasdaq:MODD)**
* **Quarterly reports showing initial Pivot revenue expected**
* **Commercial rollout expansion into additional U.S. metro markets**
* Management has indicated it intends to expand commercialization initially across five (5) major metropolitan markets in 3Q and 4Q of 2026
* Investors will watch for new distribution regions, expansion of diabetes clinic and medical practice adoption
* **Insurance reimbursement / payer coverage announcements potential**
* Easier reimbursement dramatically increases patient adoption
* Potential announcements include commercial insurer coverage, pharmacy benefit inclusion in pharmacy benefit plans and reduced patient out-of-pocket costs
* **Patient adoption and repeat usage in future press releases**
* Possible news include:
* active users
* refill orders
* patient retention
* physician satisfaction
* patient testimonials
* **Strategic partnerships/Joint Ventures Announcement Potential**
* Potential announcements may include:
* diabetes clinics
* insulin manufacturers
* distributors
* pharmacy partners
* digital health companies
* **Additional intellectual property / patent announcements**
* Newly issued patents or expanded IP protection can support higher enterprise valuation
* **European (CE Mark) progress**
* Management expects CE Mark clearance around Q2 2027.
Watching for news in these two stocks that can quickly shift trader and investor sentiment neutral and/or negative to positive can provide an opportunity. Additionally, corporate development news can attract potential strategic partnerships or acquisition.

Previously option premiums are depends on future price moments. But these two days option premiums some times followed the future price and sometimes followed the actual stock price. It is very manipulative.
Yesterday nifty closed at 24774 but the 24550 CE option Premium closed at rs 50 which means ce premium didn't follow the actual index but it followed the nifty fut., but today nifty fut closed at 24552 and index closed at 24614.. 24550 CE option premium followed the index price.

So, I am an Option Seller, Need advice on how to deal with this CAS especially on expiry day.
Today, I had sold 24550 CE and Spot price was 24440, Normally I would have made profit, but I got fucked when the price jumped to 24612 within 1 minute,
1. if the price keeps doing gap up or down like this after 3:15. How do I deal with this?
2. Also, Premium decay was very slow around 3:00, even on an expiry day. How would I even get the theta benefit?
3. Will it always be like this?

Current day's volatile move was only due to expiry. Just check out the same 24450 CE for next week. Their premiums hardly moved and were consistent with futures.

I'm glad I squared off all of my current expiry long puts before madness.
The call shorts of next week expiry had no such movement though.
Current expiry's 24500 CE was on steroids.
