Not finding many good ideas this morning for CSPs but gonna keep looking.
STO 1x QUBT $9.50 CC for August 8th. It's a profitable wheel strike and it has earnings next week.

Generally you want to consider established firms that are primarily focused on being brokerages rather than banks that have a sideline in investments or fintech startups.
It’s not that a disciplined passive investor can’t use a bank or fintech startup, or even that aren’t occasionally specific benefits to doing so (BoA gives excellent CC rewards with a large brokerage balance, Robinhood has matching on IRA contributions). However, there are significant concerns with those kind of companies that simply aren’t a factor at better brokerages.
The three most recommended US brokerages here (and in general) are:
\* Vanguard
\* Fidelity
\* Schwab
Any of the three is generally agreed to be entirely serviceable, with various small quibbles that experienced Bogleheads will debate as infinitum. I could provide a summary of those issues for all three but since you’re looking at Schwab in particular:
\* They encourage more cash in portfolios and pay a lower rate on that cash than Fidelity, or especially Vanguard. This can be avoided by controlling your own allocation and not keeping a large cash allocation.
\* Despite some recent efforts to disentangle themselves from politics, their brand is fairly tightly linked to a partisan alignment that is toxic to a significant portion of the country. This can’t really be avoided but many don’t care about the political affiliation of their brokerage company.
\* Unlike Fidelity and Vanguard, it’s not possible to buy fractional shares of popular ETFs at Schwab, which can lead to excess uninvested cash. This can be avoided by using at least one mutual fund, which allows for partial shares.
So overall the downsides to each of the “big three” are fairly minor and manageable. Vs the more serious intrinsic concerns around banks like WF which really can’t be entirely ignored.

28/30 wins for a total of $5124 in profit so far, also added 20 shares. I own Jan puts and Sept calls to hedge for a short term bounce and a big collapse in TSLA from next earnings. Also slowly adding my shares back under 350. It allows me to be a little more aggressive in my naked strikes as well as covered strikes. So I'll try to keep selling the naked stuff and tally that into the first metric and add shares with the premium for the covered stuff.
This week seems quieter. Not a ton of macro data, still with Iran war hokey pokey. Not sure if SPCX earnings will impact TSLA, but I wouldn't put it past the market to do so. Some AI trade earnings with AMD and SNDK to watch as well.
TSLA this week has some 315 and 330 calls, not much for puts. Aug still has some 350C and then likely remnants of the 400+ strikes. MM pricing in $17 move this week or $290-$330, max pain 315. TSLA can either bounce to fill the 330-350 gap or continue down to the 250-270 one. It's very much a limbo zone and who knows what it's going to do lol.
I'm willing to take assignment 250-300, be stuck in CC jail above 350.

What about tech costs? Managing and running infrastructure to handle that scale costs a fortune.
Employee salary?
Also, CC costs are huge.
There are many other such things which adds to total expenditure.

Most dividends are long term capital gains meaning you don't have to hold for a year. There are some exceptions (BDC, CC ETF, JEPI/Q). With CC ETF they are ROC for 7 years which aren't taxed at all

Unfortunately, your only choice is SPY or QQQ. No other broad market ETFs offer daily expiry and massive liquidity other than those two.
You can try to get comfortable tapping into margin if assigned. My experience is, even if assigned, you can get sell it of it via ATM or slightly OTM CC very fast due to how often it bounces back. My margin cost is negligible due to the short holding period, either paid off by the premium or cap gains.

I'd say $400k is a good amount (at minimum). I still work full time (remotely) so I don't need the options income. I don't withdraw any gains from my brokerage account and just reinvest it all. But I've been simulating as if I did depend on that money and I've been averaging about 1% per month, pretty consistently for about 2 years. Not all of the trades were wheeling but most were, and it's still mostly what I do.
That being said, I think it's certainly possible to live abroad off options income, specifically through wheeling. But the key is to stick to stocks you absolutely want to own. I mean long term and even at 50% below your entry. I think that's the only way to keep steady income going, through covered calls.
So if the stock drops too low from your entry/cost basis, there are ways to maximize yield on the position, but it does inquire more risk. The risk being early assignment.
You can sell ITM CC below your cost basis, and focus on selling extrinsic value, but the key is to avoid early assignment. This can be done by keeping a good distance from expiration and keeping an eye on the extrinsic value, making sure it doesn't get too low. You get, say, 25% of extrinsic value and then roll/close the call, to the next strike with the highest extrinsic value (usually slightly ITM). Rinse and repeat. If the stock drops, you make money on the xalls. If the stock rallies, you lose on the calls, but you get a net gain from the shares. You don't realize the win on the shares until after you sell the shares. This is the tricky part when doing this below your cost basis.
If trading it below cost basis, you don't realize net gains when the stock rallies during an ITM CC cycle. Those gains get realized when you sell the shares, ideally at or above cost basis/entry price.
The point is, you can still generate a steady income off a position that goes south on you. You just have to be a bit more discretionary on when to put the ITM CCs because you're going to want to avoid closing/rolling calls for a debit. Since every time you have to roll/close a call for a loss, you lose cash. You only get cash instantly when the calls go OTM (when stock drops). Using a bit of discretion, like only selling when 4h RSI is oversold, you can get fairly consistent wins from calls, paying your monthly yield.
Worth noting when selling ITM CCs below cost basis requires a good cash buffer. But I think if you're going to live off trading, you need a good cash buffer anyways... Like a years worth of expenses, at least.
As long as you don't sell the shares though, they can generate a decent yield, which you can use as income to fund your life abroad.

If there is anything you are interested in, just let me know. I am always willing to hear any offer. The worst thing I will do is shoot back a counteroffer.
All non-pms are on r/coinsales
All Prices are USD
I am Located in the US
I prefer to make sales, but I am willing to entertain trades.
For any coins you may want still shots of, or possibly a video in different lighting, please let me know. I will never have an issue doing this.
I have US coins and foreign coins. Look through it all, you may find something you did not know you wanted. If you want something I do not have, let me know. I may possibly be able to obtain some, or I could already have it.
All grades are my personal opinion, except those that are professionally graded. All Coins I marked as damaged, for the most part, I am unsure if they would grade straight or not; I just wanted to be transparent about them even though they still may be straight grade.

I quit my work 10 months ago and have been doing this for income. I'm kinda retired but I might go back to work if I find something super interesting (doubt it) or if I find an easy job with low stress (also doubt it). Until then, i'll keep doing CSP/spreads/CCs for income.
In the 10 months, I've made 83k with avg monthly income being $8309 on a collateral/principal of about 280k USD. Mostly on AI stocks like NBIS/IREN/BE/COHR etc.Have had few down/negative months and am bagholding decent amount of IREN shares but its not too bad bcoz I sell pretty much ATM/ITM CC so am only down like 12% on these.
I know that the AI trades wont last forever (last month or 2 has been brutal lol) so I've been building a big cash reserve from anything I dont need to live off. Currently hitting on 10 months of living expenses in cash. Plan is to do min 1 year and ideally even 1.5-2 years. I only need about \~3k per month to live so anything extra is saved for emergency fund or to use for when market is down and put premiums are high - this is also the time my CSP will be needed to roll out for few months.
\--
Now on to the main topic of living abroad. I have been thinking about it and my plan is to go live for few months in winter for a year or 2. I'll be in asia in Jan 2027 - March 2027. And I will do this again 1 year after that. Then if I still like it, I will make the permanent move after 2 years from now. This is also sort of my backup if the CSP/wheel doesn't work out as well as I hoped for since in asia I could prob live off 1k-1.5k per month so I would only need to generate half the premiums I do now to be ok.

I've had to sign from stuff from FedEx before and they just left it at my door.  My Costco pm delivery said it was a "critical" shipment and required ID and signature.   It was also triple wrapped. Very nice.  Charging with CC also gives me piece of mind.
