You won't make much, highest I've ever gotten is like $100 a month but I mostly have boring etfs. if its helpful here's an example of some of the percentages for different stocks. I have some baskets that clone the annoyingly expensive ETFS with like 50 stocks each so it seems more likely you will get something loaned out if you have more variety, otherwise you might wait a long time. It seems to maybe be the smaller AUM etfs that get loaned.... don't see alot of VOO or anything. FSEV and FSEG had a really high rate today which seems weird since it's basically like AVUV and nobody ever borrows that one.
somewhere there are probably a bunch of computers trading in the loan market. I'd love to know what cut fidelity is making.... doesn't seem super transparent. I looked on this site and said FSEV rate was like 40% so i'm guessing fidelity is keeping a large percentage (not that I know how to loan in any other way).
