You can’t do it scientifically because you would need to know too many things including the team and their ownership %, their appetite for M&A, their IP, their ability to recruit patients, their phase, their relationship with the FDA, their cash position, their warrants, their ATM shelf to raise more dilutive cash, their intuitional investors, their competitors, their margins, their rates of reimbursement from insurers, their upcoming catalysts, their TAM and much more.
What I do is look at the holdings of BCC, an ETF that holds a lot of the top clinical stage pre-commercialization tickers and I try to see which look like they have momentum. Then I follow a few people on Substack to do daily deep dives on these tickers. Then I try to get a sense of how the stock has performed and grab a small number of tickers with a small amount of cash. If they’re going up and I can articulate why, I buy more. If I can’t articulate why they’re going up, I’ll cash out at the catalyst and move on.
Until you get one that you know inside and out, don’t marry any of them.
BBC is a great ETF if you want to minimize risk but keep an eye on the space.

After reading the first paragraph, I’m just curious how many people today even know the origin of CC & BCC in the first place. I imagine not many understand the concept anymore as carbon copying is basically nonexistent when printing for business use in most office setting. Email took several concepts like this that simply haven’t existed for probably 40 years now in the office.

That’s not what she said though. She gave an anecdote about how she was also not “workplace ready” early in her career because in college she was not taught how to BCC people in an email. It’s part of her larger point about colleges needing to prepare kids for the current workplace which is going to be a lot more reliant on communication skills. Ironically, you failing to understand this is kind of proving her point.

I am close enough to “older than email” that its true enough; and I can tell you that every year of my entire professional life, someone old and someone young has to have BCC explained to them. While that’s an overly specific example from the article, the point is generalize-able. L
Even for specialists in things, there’s learn how WE do thing HERE that might as well be a whole different thing.

… CEOs don’t work with young people or recent grads. Mackey saw young people busting their @sses in his grocery stores making very low wages.

Well, colleges didn’t used to teach us how to file either but we learned through summer jobs or internships or a class…
We have to hone our skills proactively.
 And writing an email with BCC? Well, 
if directions call out for BCC and they don’t know? Look it up, or even ask. It’s better than screwing it up.
