I’ll paste my other comment and try to add links:
I mean, sure, I’m willing to admit I have some bias bc of my sunk costs.
But I have faith for a few reasons:
1. [The Chewy story](https://medium.com/authority-magazine/chewy-founder-ryan-cohen-we-put-together-a-team-that-was-obsessed-with-delighting-our-customers-e8cacbd0477b) is undeniably inspiring. The fact that he cornered a market from Amazon in their peak is still studied by other businesses
2. The fact that he has [connected with Icahn](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/147r4y5/ryan_cohens_meeting_with_carl_icahn_cracked/) means he’s willing to converse with the greats and can keep up with them while discussing financials
3. I personally still think Michael Burry is a genius, and he has very recently [compared RC to Warren Buffet](https://www.businessinsider.com/michael-burry-next-warren-buffett-gamestop-ryan-cohen-acquisition-deal-2026-2). Call it celebrity endorsement if you will, but I believe there’s some credibility there
4. RC Ventures is very consistent with returns and good investments, i.e. [Apple & BABA](https://www.forbes.com/profile/ryan-cohen/)
5. (not as big a reason but still counts in my book) - Roaring Kitty is an avid supporter of Cohen which means a lot to me as well

I have had positions in BABA in the past, but find Chinese stocks to be beyond what I can reasonably keep track of to make money. I do know some people make decent money with Chinese stocks, but I just don't have the time to do DD on them given their regulatory structure is ... lets just say unique.

True, but as long as other traders think it's important, it can move the market in the short term. Most China stock swings are driven by sentiment rather than fundamentals, sadly. Between BABA being at $70, $190, and where it is today, not much has fundamentally changed in terms of core profitability. Doom and hype see-saw. I bought BABA at $160 while it was a falling knife in the aftermath of the Jack Ma fiasco and regulatory crackdowns. Got in a little too early, but doubled-up at $80. Sold recently around the top at $190 (feel rather proud of that timing!) Still waiting on the sidelines until all of the Iran doom gets priced in (not that the Iran conflict should meaningfully hamper BABA's core profitability, but like I said, the stock price isn't very rational most of the time).

\[Omdia: Global AI Glasses Shipments to Reach 8.7 Million Units in 2025\]
Recently, Omdia released its latest data, stating that global AI glasses shipments will reach 8.7 million units in 2025, an increase of 232%. Mainland China is the fastest-growing market, with annual shipments approaching 1 million units, accounting for 10.9%, second only to the United States.
\[Apple (AAPL) Eye-Tracking Correction System Patent Revealed, Significantly Improving Eye-Tracking Accuracy in XR Devices\]
Recently, a new Apple patent for an eye-tracking correction system was revealed, aiming to significantly improve the eye-tracking accuracy of XR devices such as AR glasses and headsets. This invention focuses on correcting fundamental errors in eye-tracking systems when estimating the user's actual gaze direction.
Current XR devices typically use infrared eye-tracking technology, achieving tracking by constructing a model of the user's eye structure. These systems rely on a geometric line passing through the center of the eyeball and the pupil—the optical axis—to estimate the direction of gaze. While effective, this method has a major limitation: the optical axis is not the same as the visual axis, which is the true direction of human vision.
This difference causes small but significant errors when XR systems determine a user's gaze point on a screen or virtual scene. Apple's invention proposes a method to estimate the true visual axis and uses it to correct gaze tracking results in real time, potentially significantly improving the accuracy of eye-tracking interaction, object selection, and gaze-driven rendering in future Apple XR hardware.
\[Nvidia (NVDA) to Invest $26 Billion in World-Class Open-Source AI Models\]
On March 12th, it was reported that Nvidia announced it will invest $26 billion over the next five years to develop open-source AI models, interpreted as a strategic shift from a pure chip manufacturer to a leading AI laboratory.
This massive $26 billion investment will comprehensively cover model development, computing infrastructure, research talent development, and ecosystem building. This means that, leveraging its core computing resources and the R&D team secretly built over the past two years, Nvidia has ample budget to develop multiple cutting-edge large-scale models.
\[Meta (META) Plans to Deploy Four Generations of Self-Developed AI Chips by the End of 2027\]
On March 11, Bloomberg reported that Meta plans to deploy its four generations of internally developed new artificial intelligence chips by the end of 2027. The company is providing computing power support for its rapidly expanding AI business through custom chips.
Meta has already announced its plans for these new chips—MTIA 300, MTIA 400, MTIA 450, and MTIA 500. This move aims to diversify hardware supply, reduce reliance on external chip manufacturers, and control expenses in the highly competitive and costly AI race.
Meta will also continue to procure chips from other companies, recently announcing agreements with Nvidia and AMD to spend billions of dollars on AI hardware.
\[Alibaba (BABA) Qianwen AI Glasses G1 Now Available for Immediate Purchase, Starting at 1997 Yuan Across All Channels\] The Qianwen AI Glasses G1, which debuted at Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026), is now officially available for immediate purchase. After national subsidies, the price starts as low as 1997 yuan. Sales are available through all online and offline channels, and users can also place orders via the Qianwen APP with a single sentence.
This smart hardware, positioned as a "portable AI terminal," has become a major new product in the AI glasses market thanks to its lightweight design and powerful configuration. Its integration with the Qianwen APP ecosystem will further enrich the application scenarios of smart wearables.
Qianwen officially stated, "In 2026, AI should define hardware, and Qianwen will continue to embed AI capabilities into devices." The product is planned to launch in the international market later this year.
\[Meta (META) is Advancing Micro-LED Mass Production\] Market rumors suggest that Meta plans to launch an AR glasses device using a Micro-LED screen in 2027. While Meta will not manufacture Micro-LEDs itself, it will be deeply involved in the research and development of Micro-LED displays.
Meta has been committed to Micro-LED technology research for many years. In 2020, it signed an agreement with Plessey to utilize all of Plessey's Micro-LED manufacturing operations to support Meta's own product development. Recently, there have also been reports that Meta may be collaborating with ams OSRAM, with a similar focus on Micro-LEDs.
II. Market Dynamics
\[Apple (AAPL.) Trains AI Model to Recognize Gestures, Using Wearable Sensors to Identify Unfamiliar Gestures\]
Recently, Apple published a new study on its Machine Learning Research blog, titled "EMBridge: Enhancing Gesture Generalization Ability of Electromyographic Signals Through Cross-Modal Representation Learning." This research will be presented at the ICLR 2026 conference this April.
Researchers described how they trained an AI model to recognize gestures, even those specific gestures that never appeared in the original dataset. To achieve this goal, they developed EMBridge, a cross-modal representation learning framework designed to bridge the modal differences between electromyography (EMG) signals and pose.
It's easy to see that EMBridge technology is likely to be used in the Apple Watch or other wearable devices in the future, enabling control of devices such as Apple Vision Pro, Mac, iPhone, and the rumored Apple smart glasses. Its application potential is enormous, ranging from entirely new interaction methods to enhanced accessibility.
\[WiMi (WIMI) leverages an adaptive hybrid aggregation federated learning framework to build an efficient and robust federated learning ecosystem\] In today's booming era of big data and artificial intelligence, federated learning (FL), as a distributed machine learning paradigm, has attracted much attention because it can train models while protecting user privacy.
However, despite its many technical advantages, federated learning faces significant challenges in real-world applications, especially the complexity brought about by heterogeneous learning environments. This heterogeneity is not only reflected in the differences in the computing power of participating devices but also involves non-independent identically distributed (Non-IID) data distribution and dynamically changing wireless transmission conditions. These factors collectively constitute the challenges of federated learning in practical applications.
During this process, WiMi is reportedly exploring an innovative solution: a federated learning framework with adaptive hybrid aggregation. This framework aims to address multiple challenges in heterogeneous learning environments, including differences in device computing power, non-independent identically distributed (Non-IID) data distribution, and dynamic wireless transmission conditions, effectively mitigating the adverse effects of heterogeneous learning environments on federated learning performance.
The framework dynamically adjusts the weights of each client device in global model aggregation based on its computing power, data distribution characteristics, and current network conditions. This strategy ensures fairer and more effective model updates even under conditions of non-independent data and uneven computing power. It also combines multiple aggregation algorithms, flexibly selecting or combining different aggregation strategies based on real-time evaluated model performance metrics to optimize the convergence speed and accuracy of the global model.
To reduce the burden on computationally limited devices, WiMi also introduces feature extractor sharing. All devices share a pre-trained feature extractor, requiring only local training of a lightweight classifier. This design not only reduces the demand for computing resources but also promotes effective knowledge transfer, enabling even resource-constrained devices to participate in federated learning and contribute their data value.
WiMi's adaptive hybrid aggregation federated learning framework, through a series of innovative technologies, overcomes multiple challenges in heterogeneous learning environments, providing technical support for the widespread application of federated learning. This framework not only demonstrates the powerful technical advantages of federated learning while protecting privacy, but also provides new ideas and directions for the future development of distributed machine learning.
\[Samsung (SSNGY) Reveals Details of AI Glasses: Equipped with Built-in Camera, Requires Pairing with Phone or Watch\]
