DFUS has very little factor tilting imo , and the closer benchmark would be something like VTI , since they are both total market etfs. All dfus really does is filters out small cap growth companies that historically have been the black hole. It also doesn't allow for ipos the first year, so no spcx exposure for example.
If you are interested in total market etfs with factor tilts to small and value dfau or dfac are better bets. DFAC being the heaviest tilted of all the dimensional or avantis etfs.
If you want something like sp500 with a bit of value tilt but not a very strong tilt maybe something like AVLC would be a nice option it not as heavily tilted as AVLV/DFLV is.

I like the combo of AVUS and AVLC for a US focus. Adding VXUS for international would be good too.
