The market really hasn’t been normal since the beginning of 2025 and it’s hard to say if things will ever return to “normal.” So since I can’t predict the future, I buy for best value and don’t pay attention to any ratio of .999 vs 90%. When things were REALLY hot, I found myself buying graded 5oz AMTB coins because the premium had collapsed to zero. More recently, I’ve mostly bought Morgan silver dollars because I’ve not ever found those selling UNDER spot before.
Ultimately, I think it’s all going up and all versions have pros and cons so I like having a diversified collection. Also, my bullion is pretty far down on the list of things I would sell if times get hard, maybe only above my Glocks.
