SPMO is actually a good example here because people originally dismissed it as “The chasing performance ETF” and it wouldn’t consistently beat the market
That’s why I don’t think it’s crazy to compare that to an AIS type strategy.
If AI and robotics are a real long term thing which I think it is , why couldn’t it work ?
AIS is picked by Ai 😆 based on rules and momentum, earnings, flows, and volatility.. I think AIS is here to stay !

Chatgpt will agree with anything the user says.
I told multiple AIS before I bought my soxl to research and they all said the semis are bound to keep going up on great er. It tanked even after Mu came out with great er.
AI will lie to your face and when everything is gone and it tanks to zero it'll say...you should've sold

You have a long time horizon. Broad based index funds and chill. If your the active type that likes investing and trying to beat the market still put 80% in the market and play with that 20% to try and beat the market but realize that you usually loose and don't win which is why you have most in the market.
I'm 26. This is my personal allocation I think it would be mostly applicable for you based on your age. I do 15% SPMO / 10% FMTM/ 20% SCHF/ 45% VOO/ 10% special stocks or etfs to play and beat the market. Currently play allocations are equal amounts of AI ETFs like CHAT, QTUM, SOXQ, AIS, AIQ.
If your not the play type. Just go extra into spmo or voo. It's aggressive but your have the time horizon to make it work.

Currently I own AIS, AFOS, SMH, TCAI and they have all been winners this year.

I do not. I have TRFK on my watchlist but prefer AIS and TCAI for my AI-focused ETFs. I had WCBR previously but have been avoiding software for quite awhile, and last I looked would choose CIBR from the current cybersecurity choices. I have not followed FDTX but again would greatly prefer AIS.
I also sold my SPRX as it moved much too much into space stuff for my liking.

I have more AIS. Volatility determines how much I go in with

Agreed, my DRAM allocation is fortunately only 2% but I've seen it act with far too much volatility in the time I've had it and I'm planning on reallocating all to AIS the next time DRAM is high.
The gains can be really good if you time it right but we're not talking about SOXL levels and IMHO it's probably not worth the risk or hassle.

I hold both. But if I had to choose one over the other, I’d go with AIS

You can hold AIS alongside DRAM for a heavier memory tilt to accompany AIS baseline

You can combine the two but for just one, I'd agree that AIS probably makes more sense.

Just looking at allocations of top holdings, AIS is more balanced and diversified

If you just discovered AIS and you’re already thinking about moving positions, I’d slow down.
That usually means the issue isn’t DRAM vs AIS — it’s that you don’t have a clear rule for why you’re holding either one.
Less volatility and diversification sound good, but first I’d ask: do I understand what I own, why I own it, and what would make me sell besides finding a newer idea?

I much preferred AIS to DRAM for what little volitility I hold.

What do you think about memory ETFs, i.e DRAM and AIS?
