AFK person guesses the 15% vs 30% withholding will add a few percents annual burn if you stay a long duration. Plus, estate tax on US holdings jumps at 60k, so spyl is basically insurance. The higher TER is a small price for that tax shelter.

One bad trade and I'd change the rules. One good trade and I'd increase the size.
Then I'd have no idea whether the original setup was actually working because I'd changed it six times. Started keeping separate Bloombot AFK setups instead.
One conservative.
One more aggressive.
And I'm forcing myself to leave them alone long enough to actually collect some results.
It's weirdly difficult not to "improve" something every time it does something I don't like.
Trading apparently requires the emotional discipline of leaving a spreadsheet cell alone.
