SEC Yield does not include Options Premiums or the income that comes from auto-callable contracts, so any fund that focuses on these income strategies will have a very low SEC yield as only the interest they collect on thier treasuries will be counted. There is also constructive and destructive Return of Capital. I am not familiar with ACYQ to know which thier ROC is and can't speak to whether it is a good fund or not, but there are plenty of high yield income funds that are good and can provide cashflow during job insecurity and/or through retirement.
As for which matters more to me... for my retirement 401k it is Total Return, but for my income portfolio it is Cashflow with limited NAV Decay.
