Jokes on me I own TTD 🥹

A lot of villain origin stories were started with a simple investment in TTD.

TTD, CELH and NKE are definitely long-term buys now.
Putting 5k in each, deleting the app and setting sell limit orders at 2x gain each.
Easy money within 2 years.

All true and I agree with you on most of it (other than differentiation - curious are you familiar with their product and users?). It's actually why I avoided and cussed TTD at 50s, 40s, 30s when everyone was saying it's cheap and can't go lower.
Under an extremely conservative reverse DCF, they have to grow their revenue "only" by 5% after 3 years. _I_ think that with the improvements to their Kokai platform that help power users more and more, and with the positive signs in JBPs, this is definitely doable and they will likely surpass it. I will probably add to my position if my reverse DCF starts indicating 0% growth. All in all, while most of their business is trash, I think there's some really good value in their _product_ that will show up over time.
TO BE CLEAR THOUGH, I think this is an extremely risky stock and can easily crash another 50% and stay there till someone decides to just take them over for pennies on the dollar. And I would never recommend anyone buys this right now.

I don't say this about a lot of companies but I can honestly see TTD being a zero within the next 5 years

Wish I just stuck with this. Was $VOO and chill from 2021-2024, thought I was smarter than the market o & sold out of it to rotate into individual names. Portfolio would now be up +100% if I just stayed the course. Instead it’s been stagnant, & actually a little negative since I tried being the Wolf of Wall Street. Biggest regret was buying $TTD at the beginning of this year. Turned 22k into about 7k in just under 9 months. Feels pretty bad.

Anyone who thinks TTD won’t go back up can’t read price action. Mark this post in one year or less it will be 25+

There’s significant risk buying ahead of earnings. It’s better to wait until after earnings to start a position. That being said…I will be unloading my last 2200 shares on Monday. Being a concentrated investor in TTD since 2019 has been a very painful lesson for me.

Buying stocks before ER isnt the issue. Buying an overpriced, speclative junk like TTD is the issue.
They grew sales 3% on tiny revenue base... and was at 20x PE just a day or two ago.
Meta did 30% sales growth on rev base of >$200B. And Meta is at 20x PE.
Junk stocks like TTD can easily go sub 10x PE. I can see this stock going to mid single digits later this yr.
Quality matters. Valuation matters.

I’m so frustrated with TTD, I did completely gamble on earnings, can someone explain why I lost money? I can confidently tell you to invest in VOO and chill my guy. You aren’t ready.

TTD is down 32% today and they just said we're going to invest wisely. They didn't give any concrete numbers or long term plan, just give the new team time and trust us. What do you guys think? Any positive drivers over next 3 to 6 months that the TTD team can do irrespective of macroeconomics?

TTD if it hits $10-12. Maybe nibble right now.
