This shaped my entire Friday. I'm still mentally slapping myself. I swung a TSLL call overnight anticipating a move upside to fill the price gap. It swing halfway through the gap and I just sat there up 86% in contracts like it would go all the way. No stop-loss set, I scrambled trying to catch a falling knife and sold at 11%. I couldn't focus enough to take a trade the rest of the day.

I figured that you would get many opinions. I read through them before posting.
You pretty much have to pick tickers that are comfortable with AND have an exit strategy at the time the trade is opened, forget the gut. Be a robot.
For me, I trade in 2 accounts, and IRA and a portfolio margin account. In the IRA it is CSPs usually around -0.20 delta Exp 35-45 days. For CCs similar but deltas a bit higher 0.25 to 0.35.
In my PM account I primarily sell naked puts. I normally only have long positions if I was put stock. When that happens I will sell calls against the shares.

I have positions in AMD, MU, PLTR, SMH, SOXX, TQQQ, TSLA, TSLL and TSM. It should be obvious that I like semiconductors, AI and Tech, at least with the current trends. I avoid having the same ticker in both accounts, to avoid surprise wash sale issues.
My goal is to not wheel; I use it as damage control. My PM account does way better thanks to margin which allows me to sell more positions.
