Short term traders spouting off Is so juvenile. Like not knowing the volatility of the security. TBH the losses are deserved. Want to make a quick buck? Be ready to accept losing a quick buck like a man. Apologies to risk taking women.

TBH i don't have a huge amount in this portfolio - I only started investing in ETF 2 years ago when I moved to Europe and couldnt pay into my tax efficient UK SIPP. So I have 150k in the UK and far less here. Overall Im not in a great position to retire ever :/
In addition to my house (which i will downsize in 10 years) I also have some crypto bets that (if I were to cash in) have massively out performed any of my other investments and could go a lot further.
So i guess I am being a little more growth orientated at this stage, where I would have been increasing bonds ideally by now

Hi, guys! I’m in my mid 20s, working in the government sector for 5 years. I’ve been thinking about monetization of my leave credits and then invest it in MP2. Is this smart?
Mas better po ba to invest it now than wait for my retirement to enjoy it? I was thinking kasi tumataas ang inflation, baka mas better if iinvest na sya now kesa pahinugin lang hanggang retirement.
And TBH, I do not see myself retiring in this sector (for now). Might as well invest it nalang. Tamang mindset ba itu??
Send help. I would love to hear your advices po 🤗

TBH, it's only been doing okay-ish, I purchased AMZN 251010 P 215 on Sept 23 for $2.61/share. If I waited a few more days, it would've gotten more premium at same price or same premium at lower strike.
Price action has been choppy but slowly inching upwards. As of this writing, it's still $1.26. I calculated the APY to be \~30% if I let it expire Friday.

TBH I think you should do whatever you want with your shares. I'm definitely going to call my broker and see whats up. I have seen some people talk about selling some warrants to be able to afford the exercise on the rest which I think sounds smart.
Also, 6000!!?!?!?! holy shit congrats bro.

TBH, I see the AI bubble bursting in the future, but quickly being replaced with a new robotics bubble. The AI bubble is going to be here for another 2 years IMO.

Seeing all these posts and articles with people speculating about an AI bubble makes me less concerned about it TBH. Time will tell I suppose…

[Hmmmmm](https://preview.redd.it/ld5a1q9c7psf1.png?width=1552&format=png&auto=webp&s=e72aea85dac9605fa8394e86cb2f58a425b76263)
So AMD is breaking higher on the backs of NVDA rally but the big news is AMD is in early talks to partner with INTC on Fab production???? which is just hmmmm. Look here is my thoughts:
I kinda feel like this is an AMD keeping up with the Joneses move. We have to follow the moves NVDA makes to make sure we aren't left out in the cold. With the Administration taking an active role in INTC as a state sponsored industry, all of a sudden INTC is receiving the partnerships that they have been seeking for YEARS but have been rejected. Remember this is literally the Gelsinger playbook that INTC is running. INTC has been pitching itself as an onshore TSMC for 3-4 years now and NVDA and AMD already took a look at it and said nahhhhhhhh. So what has changed???
Well the US gov't decided to buy part of INTC and is also threatening these export licenses to China thats what. I would bet that AMD is doing the minimum to show it is playing ball but thats it really. This isn't any major breakthrough and the only thing I think this really gives us is takes off the threat of us being left out in the cold by a vengeful American gov't.
So personally I think this rally will be short lived. Every fiber in my being wants to short it honestly but I highly suggest you don't. The gov't shutdown drama looms large and the house is scheduled to come back into session shortly. If they pass a short term funding bill that reopens the gov't and gets it back going, the whole market right rally. And no one knows how close or not we are to getting a breakthrough here. So I would be cautious about going short here. TBH I'm kinda paralyzed at the moment. The only thing I want to do is buy and buy cheap value on any drops. But that is a BIG if assuming it drops in the first place. I might trim some holdings I bought on 9/18 in this rally today just to make sure I capture this move. Sell target for me is $170.75 which was last point we hit resistance back in August.
I do wonder if we might end up seeing a classic double top pattern with a retest around that $186 level before retreating down into the winter season?

Not as in you can make more money. There might be a slight difference when you sell the principal what you cost basis is. TBH I'm not sure if taxes on buying and selling SGOV are tax exempt the same way the distributions are. But there's not a money cheat code here. It just paid out a dividend that the share price is immediately dropped by the dividend amount, and then will climb daily every day consistently until the next dividend. Doesn't matter if you buy the day before the dividend or the day after, you'll earn a consistent daily rate either based on the dividend or the share appreciation.

Complete bullshit. If kids are costing people $400k then they are making ridiculous choices. All of my kids have been safe, healthy, fed and loved their entire lives on a fraction of that. Yeah, they had to share rooms because we didn't want to buy a huge house. Oh well, now they are best friends. I bought all used stuff until they were old enough to care (which TBH wasn't until about 10.years) and passed everything down. Cook meals at home, go to the beach for free and take advantage of low cost community sports and activities. Some are in college now and even that can be way cheaper if they work hard for scholarships or use community college programs.

Better to go with ETF than MF for Gold. If you are expecting quick returns then it might not work. TBH, gold prices are at very high levels. It can go up higher for sure but it’s speculative. Evaluate your objectives and duration and then take a call. It might be a risky bet if prices correct or stay flat and ur duration is short.
