TBH since the US has shown just how shallow its ammo caches are, this seems inevitable. Oman is a US proxy, sure, but those in power are about to be wildly more powerful because the US can't control the area. It sucks though, oil becomes more expensive for literally everybody just because a bunch of assholes on the other side of the world suddenly need to charge a toll. Everything here was *so avoidable.* I feel like the ben affleck smoking a cigarette meme.

TBH, I expect someone to be scatterbrained in people who have multiple degrees as he does. Having someone that has a degree in the Nuclear field as a CEO shows me that you want your company to have the correct leadership, not just a figurehead to speak to shareholders and executives during quarterly meetings, but to provide input while navigating roadblocks in development.

TBH I think on the next run, even more junk and 999 is going to be dumped (possibly as much as 10 fold from the folks who held the last round) and could put the brakes on refineries buying junk for a long time.

Depends on the nature of the ADR, I know the chinese ones are even further from owning a piece of the company than normal ADRs. Normally ADRs you are buying a share of a holding company that owns a bunch of stock in the company. With the chinese ones its a holding company that has some contractual claim to a portion of the company's earnings, not any actual ownership of the company.
Its ADR by ADR and country by country, TBH asking AI would give you a better answer about your specific case than I ever could.

That doesn't really solve the problem. Sure it "groups" margin and cash holdings in a way so they're at least adjacent, but I'm still having to combine the values in my head as I look at the table. TBH it's kind of annoying. I would like to be able to just have one row, and maybe a "% held in margin" column or something.

There isn't much harm in just keeping it as is. TBH, it's not perfectly aligned with BH philosophy, but some people like to customize their US/international ratio and choose your approach deliberately.

Das Argument finde ich recht schwach TBH:
1. der Staat kann auch einen normalen ETF außerhalb des AVDs höher besteuern. Da hast du nicht mehr Sicherheit als beim AVD
2. du kannst vorher die Beiträge absetzen kannst und die Gewinne und Beiträge nachgelagert versteuern. Damit kommt mathematisch raus, dass die Gewinne im AVD mindestens steuerfrei sind. Wenn im alter dein Steuersatz sogar niedriger ist, dann hast du noch eine subvention dazu

TBH if you already have spent time in the markets, then you surely seen some kind of pattern that you wanted to automate.
I had a idea for a strategy about November/December 2024 after i seen the performance of my portfolio. I also used some knowledge from my advanced statistics module in University, and knowledge of R for Data Analysis that i learned there.
Needing to pass the Stat. module made me resilient enouth to spent Months doing Math and looking at charts which is a necessary skill in this "hobby", it will not be easy, getting a understanding of markets in a deeper level, understanding the Math behind various indicators, what exactly they are trying to calculate. This is something you need to do yourself, no shortcuts with AI there, beside explaination maybe.
This is something you need to write down: No LLM will find you a edge or improve a bad strategy. All the Breakthoughs that increased the performance came from my head.
I wish i could show you live returns but im still in the Development for my trading architecture for the strat. I plan to go Paper by about next Month. Being in the EU (Germany) makes it way more difficult if you dont trade Forex or Crypto. I think your from the US.
Tip to you: use Nautilus as your Infra, for US traders its nice and has lots of OOB Features. I need to build from scratch which by now took me over a year of my time with insane hours.

Exactly. That $400-700k will have a far better return on investment in ETFs/mutual funds than their college education. TBH if my kids don't get a near free ride then maybe college isn't for my kids anyway. People paying sticker for private colleges is outright silly
