I don’t know anything about TA, but shouldn’t that lower trend line have a second anchor point?
As it stands, I’m scratching my head looking at the slope and thinking, “Well, it must have some significance beyond being more-or-less exactly the slope the guy with the ruler wanted to draw…”

yeh i agree its got momentum. this is a TA only play. 140% in 3 months for anything in the realm of healthcare (beta) is just overheated imo. at this point im probably just trying to get out at break even anyway this timing today/ yesterday didnt play yet

Before anything else: this is a very, very long road, years not months. If you're in it to get rich fast or even soon, you'll give up long before it pays off. Almost everyone who shows up for a quick payout burns out. Fair warning.
The coding itself is the easy 5%, and I'd steer away from TradingView and traditional TA as your idea source. Most of those indicators have no documented reason to make money, so you can spend years turning noise into clean executable signals and still have nothing with an edge. What sinks algos is everything around the signal.
Two things come before writing any code:
Edge. A real reason the strategy makes money beyond luck. "RSI < 30, buy" is just a rule, nothing says it should have positive expectancy. Start from edges that are actually documented instead: variance risk premium (implied vol tends to run above realized, so selling premium pays on average), skew premium, momentum, mean reversion. All heavily researched, so you've got papers and priors to build against instead of guessing which indicator is magic.
Stats. Once you've got a rule, can you separate its results from noise? Sample size, out-of-sample data, does it hold across different market regimes. Most great-looking backtests are one lucky stretch fit to death.
And that's all before the hard engineering: slippage (you don't fill at the price on the chart), market impact (your own order moves price as size grows), and live infrastructure (data feeds, order routing, monitoring), plus a bunch of other stuff that looks trivial until it isn't. Every one of those has killed edges that looked perfect in a backtest.
Aim at edges with a known reason to exist and you'll burn a lot less time.
