I’ve been performing TA for 6 years now, don’t take my word for it because I’m in no way an expert on it, but if I were to guess from the fractal, it looks to be bull flagging before the next leg up. Not financial advice though because TA is pretty much like astrology but for charts.

love a break-even sale when you've literally just broken a downtrend. If you were in for non TA reasons, why would you get out now? If you were in for TA reasons, why would you get out now? Or were you not in for reasons?

TA can still help, but don’t think patterns are what cause price to move. They’re just a way of reading how buyers and sellers are behaving

As i started day trading 4 before i did too much loss than i started to learn i learn it for 2 years but day trading didnt make sense to me why would market move on pattern
So now iam thinking to start position trading do i need TA in position trading??

Thats the most honest TA ive seen all week. my candles never do what i want anyway

Yes, well said. Price action is basically the footprint of everyone making decisions with money. TA is just trying to interpret that behavior, not pretend it’s magic

Do commodities always obey TA better than stocks? Moght be easier...

As solid as any TA.

Did you give day trading a long break then come back? Did you finally apply the rules? I watch some channels for trading. What I've found is that most of them are not consistent. One thing they had in common, a good TA. Overall, just a poor execution. I now believe I would have made more money if I tried polishing my own strategy. Get a good TA, but wait. Don't trade the open. Don't hold any position too long (good or bad). Don't think of 1:1.25x or 1:3x. Just hit base hits over and over, but just wait when you feel the floor supports a reversal.
I've just been seeing every "mentor" get smoked. Now I need to find my own strategy that allows me to eventually size up. Or maybe regular investing would overall just be better. I could pretend to "day trade". Let the price drop and buy a long position but just hold it till I'm 65.
Anyways. I'm tired of losing.

if it's reading classic TA patterns then 80% accuracy on historical data is basically the default, backtesting always looks clean until you run it live

Genuinely curious, not selling anything. I'm trying to understand how people who actively trade using TA spend their time before market opens.
Like — how many stocks do you scan? What tools do you use? How long does it take? What's the most annoying part of the process? Do you have a fixed strategy you apply or do you look at charts fresh each day?
Also curious — if you've tried any AI tools for chart analysis (ChatGPT, TradingView copilot, anything else), did it actually help or was it useless?

I am reasonably sure the line will keep going to the right, so yeah, I *am* pretty good at TA.
