They are going in the right direction for sure. I'm also holding shares.
However, comparing with Rivian is not right. How many pure EV companies are there in the US? Tesla, Lucid, slate that's it.
In China, Nio alone has 3 brands. It's competing against BYD, zeekr, xpeng, Li auto, xiaomi, and at least 10 others sponsored by Huawei. There are also at least 10 state own traditional car companies going into EVs like GAC, SAIC, Chery, etc.
The market is more competitive in China, so naturally Nio doesn't have the same confidence from investors as Rivian who are only competing against a few players.
