Wish I hopped on the MRIN train at pre market. Volatile but would’ve made some good gains on that spike to 1.20. I probably should’ve sold my SLrX on the morning spike but I held. We will see what happens. Anyone on RELI got out good as well.

Been watching RELI since the insurtech hype days. This is the first move that feels like they’re playing offense not defense.

If this Fortman sale and Spetner buy both close, $RELI could look like a much more streamlined and higher-quality business a year from now. Really curious to see how it plays out

Saw this update from $RELI yesterday and wanted to share. They announced that they signed a non-binding LOI to sell Fortman Insurance Agency (one of their subsidiaries) for $5 million in cash. What caught my attention is that this price is higher than what they originally paid for it, so it looks like they improved the business after buying it.
Digging in a bit more, looks like since they bought Fortman, they upgraded the systems and brought in a new leadership team. Now the agency is running more efficiently and has more customers. If this sale goes through, $RELI plans to use the cash to help fund the acquisition of another insurance platform called Spetner Associates, which has been growing pretty fast. The company also said that the deal still needs to go through due diligence and final agreements.
Curious if anyone here has been following $RELI or has more info on this potential Spetner deal or what the overall game plan is. Would love to hear more from anyone who’s been tracking this one

There are mechanisms in place to validate data and ensure accuracy (e.g. pull and compare intraday data from 2 sources) however, errors can occur . This is just a watchlist.. Please do your own DD! This is not financial advice.
