Well, NIO actually has 10% base tariff for cat import to EU + 20,7% additional tariff as Chinese manufacturer...
I found June average selling price of NIO in china is approx. 56k€, which gives you 72k€ just after tariffs. This is just import to EU.
At this price point it will be very hard to compete, as you are above well known BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc.
And lower price segments (Firefly, ONVO) will be even more price sensitive.
So after EU tariff introduction, the benefit of European market penetration is potentially much lower, and there could be better markets to expand.
That is the reality from my POV, and this is what I expected to happen. Nobody knows NIO at all in Europe, nobody will really pay the Premium in Europe for unknown brand with no history and low service coverage. Europe is so traditional in higher price car segment despite Chinese brand penetration in price sensitive layers. And btw. This will be the way for NIO, to start from the bottom - Firefly, ONVO...

I would to purchase one of their cars, because the SWAP seems great for me.
But I trying to be realistic here, tariff changer the whole economy of market penetration...
