I never heard of this ticket before, but it looks like LQDA dropped by 50% today based off of some news catalyst. What made you sell puts in LQDA in the first place?

I know we all become financial geniuses after a green month, so I'm posting the ugly numbers too.
**September realized P/L: +$10,992.57**
Gross realized gains: **+$49,898.57**
Gross realized losses: **-$38,906.00**
Profit factor: **\~1.28**
Schwab shows +11.75% on the closed-position gain/loss report. That's **not** me claiming the account itself returned 11.75% for the month. I returned 3.3% on my overall portfolio this month.
I pulled the transactions apart because I wanted to see what actually produced the result. September had 753 option contracts closed/expired across 58 underlyings. Roughly 90% of the contracts were puts.
The strategy was mostly short premium: CSPs/short puts earlier in the book and an increasing amount of put credit spreads/defined-risk positions as the month went on. Median entry on the stuff that closed was around 18 DTE and median holding period was around 10 days, so this month still has quite a bit of my older short-DTE trading mixed in.
Up until the first week of the month, I had been selling naked puts, but I'm transitioning away from that strategy and using credit spreads instead for more risk management.
Some of the bigger contributors from my transaction reconstruction were SOXL (\~+$1.9k), BE (\~+$1.5k), INTC, NNE (\~+$800), NBIS (\~+$800), AEHR and AAOI.
**And the ugly one: LQDA was about -$2.1k. - which happened TODAY**
That one is actually part of why I'm increasingly using defined risk. My 2x Oct 9 $55 puts lost roughly $4k, but a 2x $45 long-put hedge made roughly $2.25k when things went against me. Still a loser, but materially less ugly than leaving the downside completely open like I had been doing.
One thing I'm trying not to take away from this month is “high win rate = low risk.” Selling far-OTM premium produces a lot of small/medium winners, and then one bad underlying can eat a pile of them. September worked because the winners were numerous enough and the bigger losers were contained enough to leave about $11k after everything was netted.
Going forward I'm trying to make the book a little less cowboy-ish: more **defined-risk put spreads**, generally **21–45 DTE**, short strikes usually around **0.08–0.12 delta / \~85%+ Prob OTM**, smaller position sizes, and less sector concentration.
I'm enjoying the green screenshot, obviously, but the bigger win for me is that I'm gradually getting to a structure where one ticker having a truly terrible week shouldn't be able to wreck the month.
Screenshot attached. Roast away or ask me whatever.

Today, the Court ruled that claims 1 and 14 of the '327 patent, which generally cover the treatment of pulmonary hypertension with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) patients with inhaled treprostinil, including dry powder formulations of inhaled treprostinil, are valid and infringed by Liquidia.

patent dispute and legal issues. LQDA submitted a motion to strike the case, it was denied. That caused the drop.

A trading halt does not itself establish bullish or bearish news; assuming it signals a catalyst can misread a procedural or pending-news pause. (Disclosure: I build AimyTrade.)
