SpaceX wont have the ASTS broadband speed the next few years at least, but they can offer SMS service etc. to regular smartphones. Iridium, GSAT, Inmarsat cant do that

that is a very important differentiation. SpaceX is competing with Iridium, GSAT, Inmarsat in this realm for texting in emergencies. ASTS is doing 5G.

No affiliation other than I have family in car businesses and we were talking the SDV revolution several several years back, and then I started seeing the trend about SDV, then came GSAT and Quallcomm announcements. I still remember when BB announced the pivot to cars and back then I was thinking wtf. Anyway lots of time researching patents etc and putting things together.

I had same situation happen to me, with GSAT. Market closed below strike price and next time looked at my account it pulled fair chunk out my account. Didn’t affect me in long-run as shares maintained close to exercised price but was certainly surprised.
