I get mine on eBay. You can find great jewelry at our slightly over spot price all day. Purchases over $400 go to GIA for authentication. Under $400 you have to be careful. I had 8 packages of 14k delivered yesterday, 1 was fake and another was half of the advertised weight. eBay is great for buyers, very easy to return even if the seller advertised no returns accepted. If you use eBay, get yourself an acid test kit.

I was not really bothered about this change but I'm now convinced it's a mistake. It's just an incredibly clunky way to encourage S&S investment. So many other, simpler, ways to do it. Reduce/increase allowances, even reducing stamp duty feels like it would be easier than this. I fear a lot of the smaller providers won't even try and end up pulling their ISAs altogether, which is bad for the rest of us given how competitive it's been.
Personally, I've realised quite a lot of gains recently and they are sitting inside a S&S being dripfed slowly back in. If there's still enough left next year I might just end up taking that money out and putting it elsewhere (cash ISAs/IFISAs/GIA) if I'm hit with a 22% tax when Im not even sure I'll hit my savings allowance every year. So that's literally the opposite effect of what the government is intending.

Yeah, that's common, if you're saving more than the £20k ISA allowance per year, the GIA is really the only place the extra can go, not much choice about it. Plenty of people end up there once they're maxing the ISA consistently.
Also worth a quick correction on my earlier comment, when I said VWRP I actually meant VUSA, that's the one you're holding.
