No, dumb fuck. Way to show that you don't know what irrational means, and that you do not understand what I am saying. What you basically described in your first paragraph is a metric that value investors use. And yes, they use that term irrational when it is outside of the range, and yet somehow don't think that is what the term means because you are a dumbass.
You are right on only one thing, but that is only just the word itself:
>Not based on clear thought or logic
but that is the word without context in a financial market sense. The logic comes from using a baseline formula and pegging to a norm, that's where "rational" comes from. If something is way outside the typical range for pe, it becomes irrational. So yes, irrational DOES mean a very unusual for a p/e, you dumb fuck. 299x is way outside a normal 30-60x forward pe
Irrational investors and markets can exhibit irrational exuberance and pump a stock up, which is why a stock can see multiples higher or lower of a p/e, which is sometimes FINE but having that elevated is the DEFINITION of an irrational market. Yes, investors can believe that a company will exhibit strong growth and pump it to multiple p/e that far exceeds the normal. Logic can also say that companies in their growth phase can see double the p/e! But guess what? Being way outside of the norm is when the market is described as being irrational! Has Amazon ever seen 300x p/e ever since? I am not sure why you don't fucking understand that this other than that you are retarded.
Most of the time when a stock has exhibited very abnormal p/e, it eventually comes back into the normal range, and doesn't usually stay there for long, i.e stops behaving irrationally.
See the dot com bubble, or right before the 08 recession, or any company that holds extremely high or low multiples. It usually corrects itself later.
Also, you are fucking dumb (if I have not iterated this enough) most of my holdings have been in SNDK, MU, and NBIS.

Look a ton of these responses are just saying 'JUST DO IT ALONE IT WILL BE FINE!!!!!' and for some people that is the correct answer.
The truth is that easing your own feelings of anxiety is one of the very best reasons to have an advisor. Money should be about solving problems, not creating new ones. And if paying some flat fee helps you to not need to have that worry in the back of your mind then that is money well spent.
Look into whether there are financial advisors in your area who are fiduciaries.

> To you the "entire picture" is always only a one year chart and you call others myopic.
No it quite literally isn't and I tried explaining that, so it's super fun that you'd try to project that. It's like you didn't read what I wrote at all lol.
Implied by omission. You didn't bring it up because it wasn't pertinent to the argument you were trying to make, which I get, but the context of it sure is damning.
>Again, how Bitcoin has moved since ATH is a completely different conversation that is not something Saylor has control over.
Again, context is context is context, and here the context was about the value of MSTR, not the value of bitcoin, but I get why you might not get how that's part of the criticism. Bitcoin moving drastically... shocker! effects the company that only has said asset as the driving force behind the company's value.
And no bud... the entire conversation WAS NOT about 'was bitcoin good for his company' it was about whether Michael Saylor has contributed anything positive to bitcoin, or rather, what was his biggest contribution... which is why I argued that he was nothing but damaging, and then laid out my reasoning for why.
You disagree? TOTALLY FINE BUD. Good to know, but if you want me to change my mind along with you then you'd better find a better argument or I'll just keep listing off all the reasons why I disagree.
