You could look at ETFs and U.K. closed end funds. Some examples include:
EEI - Europe income
IUKD - UK income (I prefer EEI though for diversity as it also includes U.K.)
VHYL - global income
TDGB - global income
TFIF - a securities closed end funds
Other than the last one these are all funds that pay a bit of dividend and would also expect some growth as well over long term. TFIF is more pure income focus.
For the long term though perhaps consider some allocation to growth as well such as a global tracker such as VWRP.
