Started YOLOs and market gambling during the GOAT time of COVID stimi. Made an absolute killing buying a metric fuck ton of SPAC warrants on DEAC after reading the Barron‘s article on sports betting back around 2020 or so (I don’t remember). DEACW went from like $2.80 to over $32 once the merger happened and DKNG was formed.
After that, it was all down hill from there. First huge loss was betting $10K on IIVI, which I was pumped on because they have so much tech for fast charging EVs to lasers for industry to telecom. Too bad they acquired coherent when I had my play, which meant an instant loss. The other terrible play was $10k on SOXL just before QT and rate hikes. Too late to the chip party and got my ass torched. Other than that, life has fucked me hard and I had go raid the funds. Gee, you need steps fixed for the house? Have fun, masonry $11,000 for a set of stairs. Oh shit, you fucked up your 13 year old car? Time for a new one, you need $10k for down payment. From there it was just a bunch of shitty small plays to numerous to remember or list. Just a non stop shellacking between life and getting smacked on options, lol.
