You’d be a fool to sell all of your CMPS now.

While I am 100% CMPS this is news to me and very good news at that.
Realistically speaking, I think one of the biggest hurdles for psychedelic companies is political interference at FDA or from the White House. One of my only worries with CMPS was that the Administration would supersede a non-American company with the most quality asset and data in support with an American one. While seemingly crazy to ponder, anyone paying close enough attention should agree that this is not out of the realm of possibilities. Heck we might see ibogaine approved WAY earlier than it should be because RFK Jr. is such a fan.
So…learning just now tthat Helus is a Canadian company is, in my opinion, very big news for CMPS bag holders. There is no company as close to CMPS as Helus, and you could make the argument that the Administration has way more serious problems with Canada right now than they do with the UK.
Furthermore, if the Administration is looking to score political points from approving the first traditional psychedelic (can’t blame them for this instinct), it would be way more logical to approve the asset that:
1. Is furthest along and the most risk-averse / meticulous in their approach
2. Is from a country the President has way less issues with at the moment
3. Has the most presentable CEO, most stable last several years, and most robust trials.
Stay strong and poised, comrades. Our time is coming and if everything goes to plan, we will all bask in the glory!

Also CMPS and HELP are international companies and international has not had a great few days (think VXUS is down 4.6% from recent highs, compared to VTI being down like 2.4%).

I bought long call options on CMPS around $15 last week. I should've given y'all a heads up that the stock would immediately tank.

I think macro matters but the question is why did compass sell off so much when XBI has been fairly stable and yesterday we got soft inflation. CMPS has underperformed macro lately

I agree. I’m actually only putting it in Kabir’s words. He likes give conservative estimates. I also think the administration could get ahead with this very quickly, which was specifically intended with the EO as well. I actually myself think it’s reasonably likely that FDA decision comes in December. The EO gave order for DEA to start the rescheduling process after phase 3 results, before even NDA, so if they actually do this, it is not impossible to have also rescheduling done by year end. I think Kabir Nath prefers to guide conservatively, because this is not anymore under CMPS control how fast everything goes. Last item that’s under their control is finalizing NDA, and as I said I trust them to deliver in time (which for me is October, and as early as possible in October but they still have to not rush it of course)

CMPS is guiding completion of NDA in this quarter q4/2026. You will see that they will actually complete it in this month (October). CEO Kabir Nath has repeatedly said and also just recently, that CMPS will be ready for the unlikely chance of FDA approval plus DEA rescheduling by the end of this year 2026. This does not make any sense if they don’t finalize NDA in October, because otherwise by action of the company itself they would make their promise impossible.

I do have concerns about the macro. I’ll likely trim a bit along the way if CMPS continues to rise between now and end of 2028, but I’ve been in CMPS for so long, through all the highs and lows (mostly lows lol) that I’m willing to ride the risk until more significant value is captured. For me, that’s a big pharma acquisition or TRD commercial success + PTSD data.

CMPS Soldiers - stay strong, and stay in this fight. This company is at 1.7B market cap now and spravato alone is at 2.3B in sales.
Deep down, while there will be hurdles challenges, we all know this is the company that is unquestionably best situated to deliver a miracle product that can address dozens of clinical conditions with little to no relief. TRD, MDD, PTSD, depression from grief—even aging, addiction, Lyme disease, and the list goes on and on.
This will be our biggest test yet, comrades.
These are crucial and decisive days ahead, but our collective skin in the game and know-how on what this treatment can do will win in the end. There is no other scenario that plausibly makes sense.

CMPS, GHRS, HELP all show the same technical pattern today early weakness, failed stabilization, then grinding lower into the close. Why? Some of today's pressure was hitting clinical-stage biotech generally, while DFTX was comparatively resilient.
On balance this was broad psychedelic/neuropsychiatric weakness combined with broader speculative-biotech de-risking and most important of all quarter-end liquidity effects - Banks, market makers and prime brokers report balance-sheet and capital metrics at quarter-end. Consequently, some institutions temporarily shrink inventories or become less willing to commit balance sheet.

That’s exactly what I’ve been saying as well. Yes, approval is probably fully priced in by anyone currently invested and paying attention. But that is such a small proportion of what the total market will be after approval. The entire CMPS market will be completely resized, I think multiple times over. All of those future market participants have no idea what is currently happening and approval is not “priced in” for them at all.

I think people overestimate the gains CMPS will experience after the next milestones, speaking from experience of holding biotech stocks for 7 years. Like many already said, CMPS will now be valued for its commercial success, and clinical milestones no longer matter (at least for now). Would love to see it go 20$+ but I'm not even sure that would happen after approval. The market wants to see commercial viability and profits.

Yeah particularly the way CMPS trades, it’s just all over the place. My portfolio has lost over 200k in the last two weeks or so lol. I’m used to it at this point to an extent but also over it and wanna lock in my gains asap.

Ok. I guess these are the reasons why investors on average seem to see it that way. Has been a lot of discussion about the hugely different (more chronic/difficult to treat) patient population for CMPS vs DFTX explaining the difference in MADRS delta between companies and we gave to give it to DFTX they have also GAD in phase 3 but for MDD even though theoretical market is larger, in foreseeable future they are not going to be reimbursed othen than population similar to TRD. But let’s not go further here.
