In the CMPS Linkedin post there is a reply by a manager from Bristol-Myers Squibb to which CMPS replies. I wonder if this reflects some pharma movement in the background.

Yes vague leaks. It was reported that a deal was in the works but we dint know who. We certainly didn’t know there were 3 Pharma companies looking at them.
Ultimately we likely will not know of a deal until it’s done. CMPS is not the kind of company to leak that before it happens.

it is worth noting that any generic drug does need to submit an Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) which is still subject to FDA review timelines. These do not require full trials but they do require some small studies which extends the timeline out further. Additionally, any contracts using COMP360 won't be overturned immediately with the approval of a generic and the generic would need to break through both the clinical space and the insurance space to have any sort of real shot. CMPS has a large headstart and seems poised to use it and that is not going away with the possibility of generics 2 years after the fact. Generics for CMPS WOULD potentially threaten later drugs imo though because it would create a crowded field in 2028-2030 where you arent just facing CMPS youre facing generics targetting what youre treating before youve even entered the market and depending on the deals insurance companies, hospitals...etc have already made by those years it may be difficult to break into the field especially if they intend to use the same infrastructure unless they are categorically a better drug or a better deal for insurance. But even if they are a "better drug" it still doesnt mean they will be prescribed before CMPS... its all about what insurance and hospitals are going to do.

I'm in my early 40's, married (wife is preggo), rent (for now) and with a baby due in March, I gotta start making moves...
I have a learning dis/ability (depends how you look at it) that makes it tough for me to comprehend numbers and math, but I retain other things really well (conversations, experiences, etc). I am horrible at math.... like really bad. I have a small business that does pretty well and I make a decent income.
Currently, I have around **300K** in the market - **80K** in a roth I contribute to annually, **80k** in a Rollover IRA (don't contribute to, not sure if I can) and 145K in my brokerage account. I started trading actively last year and am up **$78K**.

I trade mostly through what I hear about through finance radio (bloomberg), what I can read and retain online, and what I hear about through discussions and word of mouth. This AI dip and bounce got me a little worried, especially because I had maxed out my margin loan for a few days. With yeserday's rally, I recouped everything (thankfully) and escaped the margin loan, but now I'm a bit concerned that I'm out of my element.
I don't do futures/options, and just buy as low as I can and sell as high as I can. I'm slightly worried about taxes, but I'll worry about that a few months from now (unless I should start bugging out now)...

I feel like I'm doing OK, but am a bit worried that my portfolio is AI heavy. I have positions in some "safer" stocks and some shitty performing Schwab themes in my retirement accounts (kind of like a mutual fund, I think). In my brokerage account, I have positions in the following:

MU, ASML, NVDA, GOOG, AAPL, AMZN, NBIS, CEG, PLD, AMD, HOVR, SKHY, VRT, RDW, SPCX, MX, CMPS, HMR

Is it OK to actively trade without knowing much about the market? I see a lot of numbers in posts talking about things I can't grasp onto and I'm worried that my lack of discipline and strategy I see from other reddit posts is gonna crush me.
Can someone let me know if they have had concerns like mine and how they approach trading? Or, should I look into more diversification? Any resources that I should look into? I'm just worried that I had a bit of luck with the AI boom and it could crush me later.

It is definitely possible.
Looking at big pharma behavior and language so far it does seem clear that they are looking for short-acting, highly differentiated, strong IP, strong efficacy in their acq targets.
CMPS doesn’t hit any of those chords.
Also, I think the questions around REMS and how the economics of COMP360 are going to land in the real world is so uncertain that big pharma will likely sit on CMPS until they go to market.
If and when CMPS gets COMP360 to market and proves their economic model, then I do think the likelihood of big pharma swooping in would be quite high — though still not guaranteed.
If we’re to throw some probabilities out there off the cuff, I’d say 10% likelihood CMPS gets acquired prior to approval, 25% they get acquired post approval pre launch, and 50% likelihood they get acquired post launch.

This sub is good to see all the industry news for the space.
But if you ask me " what company to invest in"
Im going to day CMPS and Helus.... but thats because i have an investment these around those companies. You need to have your own conviction in the stocks you own.
You buying what I think is good because I say is good....isn't conviction on your end.
You need to ask yourself "i am buying this stock at thing market cap because........." and if your answer " because the sucker is only going up"
That's not conviction thats just gambling in the dark.
Just don't take my word as gospel and other people's words as Gospel... thats all im saying :)

What do you think about CMPS? Compass Pathways is out there and guessing it will sell soon. After ATAI announced it is only taking $6.75 a share (or an extra $2.50 if it hits milestones) concerned about CMPS going low too. Not sure if I should be or not.

This late in the game, I've had to stop day/swing-trading for this exact reason. If your average on CMPS dips lower, buy more. HELP, I'm hoping, starts on an up-trend again after profit-taking today.

We got news about ATAI being looked at almost there months ago now? We haven't heard a peep about any interest in CMPS.

Interesting play. I’m about 80%/20%
I sold some help yesterday to buy compass below $12 hahah so poor timing but I’ll keep monitoring I want to swing back into maybe another 5-10% help.
The way I see it, a negative event for compass (I.e filing/approval issues) is also negative for HELP, but trial issues with HELP don’t impact CMPS. Still, today’s news is a big de-risking event for HELP

im 50/50 for CMPS and Helus.. so Q4 is make or break for my portfolio

Curious what people think will happen first, CMPS NDA filing completion or HLP-003 top-line readout?

My base case is CMPS to $20 following approval end of this year, and a slower commercial rollout than investors are hoping with some form of delay likely and first year revenue landing between $50-$100m.
Stock climbs to $30 (4b market cap) by end of 2027.
PTSD data lands positive pushing stock to $40-$50 range by end of 2028.
