As someone who has lived in both, this is completely false.
If you live in one of the big provinces. In QC you need to wait years to get a family doctor that you could get in days in the US. The CLSC requires you wait 10 months before you can get mental healthcare, and when you do you can only go for a handful of visits before you need to wait again. If you need a scan and are not actively dying the exact minute you are in urgent care, enjoy waiting 6+ months to get that scan and confirm if there is something going on with you or not.
I am convinced that people who hype up the Canadian system are either anomalies or live in provinces that barely have anyone in them.
