Everything in cloud got hit today. CLOD, FCLD, UCYB, SKYU, WCLD all red together, not just one or two names.
The YTD spread is wild though. UCYB still sitting at +43.69% while WCLD is down nearly 8% on the year. That kind of divergence in the same sector usually doesn't hold forever, and the synchronized selloff feels like the market starting to ask whether all those AI capex billions actually turn into margins.
Checked the breakdown on MooMoo and the index was off 3.72% on the day with volume at 1.14M. WCLD took the biggest hit at -4.33%.
GOOGL earnings coming up is the real question here. If cloud names can't hold into a major catalyst, the +43% YTD leaders like UCYB are the obvious unwind target. Been watching this since the AI trade started looking extended.
Anyone else think the YTD gainers in cloud are running on borrowed time, or is this just normal pre-earnings noise?
