Hello, I have the ultra package. I need support.
I am travelling abroad in greece, I am from the UK.
I rented a car from a company with CDW insurance. No deposit, €400 excess. Damage to undercarriage NOT INCLUDED.
Unfortunately today I had an accident. I was driving on a narrow road there is just enough room for 2 cars on there no problem. There was a van coming towards me basically in the center of the road. To my right there was a ditch with tall grass, I mistaken this for just regular grass and veered onto it to give the van room. As you can imagine I ended up in a ditch somebody even drove past and said you can't park there sir 🫠.
Anyway, the cars undercarriage scraped accross the side of the pavement for about 10meters I would say untill it came to a stop. Therefore the undercarriage is infact damaged. I would have been better driving into the van...
They came, took the car away and gave me a new one. My rental is up tomorrow so I'm assuming I'll find out then what the situation is.
Will my revolut insurance help me with this?
What should I do when I go to return the replacement car? Im assuming admit no liability and wait untill they send me a proper bill with a breakdown of damage
I should note I never gave them a deposit and I have froze the card I used to buy the rental for now incase they try to charge me anything crazy without my permission. So nothing has or will be took without my consent.
