Professional filmmakers use AVID and either NUKE or FUSION. Also, DaVinci Resolve or Luster, to name a few.
Yea, you can find some rare examples of low budget filmmakers using consumer-level tools, and in fact I have at times been one of them--but that does not make an industry standard.
In Hollywood, walk into an editorial suite and you will see Avid. In a DI suite you'll find Resolve or Luster, or one of the more esoteric/proprietary systems.
Premiere is a joke. AfterEffects is useable to a degree, but Fusion is more flexible, and Nuke has facility-wide scaling built in as a feature.
And while I preferred Quark Express for pre-print, In-Design is reasonably useable in-between the crashes.
A Dough Bee managed to get market share simply by shoving all the apps into a one-size-fits-kludge that is only marginally better than Autodesk products...
