As an old Gen-X’er, I was once like you… head full of hair, fully functional knees, and worried about making money. At the beginning of my investing journey, I learned that the best thing for your portfolio is to try to keep out emotions.
Only invest in individual company stocks if you understand what the company does. If you know nothing about server racks, GPU development, different types of neural networks, CUDA or other SDKs, don’t invest in NVDA. All your buys and sells will be emotionally driven. You will get eaten alive.
If you’re just starting. Index ETFs are the way to go.
I’d say, until your trades are over $10k without a worry, stick with index ETFs. And don’t touch it for at least a decade.
