I said. It's possible. I didn't say people to listen to me..I made blatantly clear it's extremely risky. But it's possible. Look at Venice AI, ZEC..for instance. Hyperliquid. Even Monero..if you have been holding them for one year. You're in profit..but obviously those coins aren't low market cap..the problem with low market cap coins is they aren't listed onto tier 1 CEXs and if you wanna paper it. It's hard. Hence I'd rather stick with mid and billion market cap coins..

If you want a decent medium term hold CYPH looks good. As long as ZEC continues to rise so should CYPH. Of course there is the risk of overvaluation and ZEC could lose value but so far so good

Nope. I mean, I'm not invested in ZEC, but if I were going to the history wouldn't be a big factor in that.

All I know is ETH is extremely undervalued. It needs to more than 2x just to reprice with BTC and BNB. I am going to stop looking at the charts. At least I have a little ZEC and it is nice to see it has gone up so much. Not going to sell ETH, ZEC, BNB, TRX, or anything else in my portfolio. The dollar just feels like a long-term trainwreck.

So need something like ZEC not some random F1 sponsors or golf or what ever ...

actually surprising that even as a smaller player, you get a decent share of the weekly rewards! makes it worthwhile imo.

That’s rough. I’m sorry that happened to you. I have a similar loss just 2 days ago too. After getting wiped out this bear market over the last year, I took a loan for 90k in June. After all the four year cycle is about to flip blah blah blah right? At first, I was investing safely with low leverage and holding majors and high cap stocks. I managed to turn that 90 to 285k and was feeling sky high and euphoric. Somewhere in that time frame the gambling addiction took over and was masked as “investing”, which is the worse type of addiction. You keep going and feel morally justified because you think you’re investing when you’re really just gambling. At first, I committed to hold BTC on low leverage and long term. That’s investing. But then I decided to short some runners that have been going up non stop. ZEC was one of them, and I had some success doing it too. But then one bad trade happened and that’s all it took. After ARB jumped 20% I decided to short it with a liquidation price 80% away. Well, it kept going up and instead of taking the stop loss, I cancelled them and added more capital to push liquidation further and further. ARB ended up running 55% in a few hours and my worse case scenario happened. As liquidation got closer and closer I ended up selling at a huge loss and ended up -200k in one trade. That’s was it. My wake up call. I’m a gambling addict and despite starting off well and doing all the right things, my habit snuck up on me without me even knowing. I’m lucky I saved most of my loan and so I withdrew all my assets and moved them back to fiat. I feel terrible but I needed this. It happened hard and fast and I’ve realized that first, I have no self control and second, all my money can disappear in an instant despite my best efforts if I keep on this path. Once the money clears after Labor Day, I’m paying back my loan and moving on with my life. I’ve been in this game for too long with nothing to show for it except being emotionally unavailable to my family, and destroying my mental health. Gonna stick to building an emergency fund and commit to true long long term investing with index funds. Whatever you do, I hope that you learn from this. Fast money feels amazing when it comes, but it also takes and when it does it takes more than you can afford in more ways than financial. I have so much regret and I know you do too. I hope that peace and clarity finds you and you exit depression quickly.

There is no option for non-anonymous transactions in Monero, while ZEC has it.

Short version: Monero is private by default - every transaction is shielded, so an exchange can't produce a meaningful audit trail. Zcash privacy is opt-in; it still has transparent addresses that behave like Bitcoin, so a listing venue can interact only with the transparent side and keep its compliance team happy. That's the difference, not the strength of the cryptography. Monero isn't illegal in most places either - it just got delisted from several large centralized exchanges over compliance risk, and availability varies a lot by region. As for ZEC's recent attention, that looks a lot more like narrative plus easy listing access than a technical breakthrough.
