It’s not that Litecoin beats all of these on every individual aspect, but I believe it’s a better all round crypto if you compare every detail. It’s also survived a long time where most other cryptos do not, you are likely to still see Litecoin in +20 years time but not necessarily all the others.
. Proven longevity — 15+ years of operation gives Litecoin a track record most newer PoW networks simply don't have.
. Hard-capped supply — 84M LTC gives it a clearer scarcity advantage over Monero's ongoing tail emission.
. Fast + cheap — much faster and cheaper for everyday transactions than Bitcoin, while remaining a straightforward PoW currency.
. Optional privacy with MWEB — unlike Monero, privacy doesn't have to be used for every transaction; users can choose when they need it.
. Battle-tested PoW — Litecoin has accumulated years of real-world security and mining history, giving it an advantage over newer networks such as Kaspa and CKB.
. Greater liquidity & recognition — significantly more established exchange, wallet and payment support than smaller PoW projects such as XEC and CKB.
. Simpler than CKB — Litecoin doesn't need a complex smart-contract/programmability thesis; its purpose is straightforward: decentralised digital money.
. More established than Kaspa — Kaspa has impressive throughput, but Litecoin has a much longer history, broader recognition and established infrastructure.
. More usable privacy proposition than Zcash — Litecoin's MWEB provides an additional privacy option without making privacy the entire identity of the network.
. More balanced than XEC — eCash focuses heavily on ultra-low-cost payments, while Litecoin combines low fees with stronger longevity, liquidity and recognition.
. Complements Bitcoin rather than competing with it — Litecoin can potentially act as a faster transactional PoW currency while Bitcoin remains the primary store of value.
