I think management of Microsoft doesn't know what it is doing. I think Satya was in the right place at the right time. His record outside of 'stock go up' is not great.
Hiring an 'AI CEO' with known red flags and having to sideline him, hiring Charlie Bell from Amazon and sidelining him, Activision purchase at a peak and the ensuing destruction of Xbox, layoffs and his lack of visibility in the company (ask employees), destruction of what goodwill there was with Windows, the constant flip-flops in messaging (Security-first, now AI-first, now seemingly backing off).
'Leadership' at MSFT simply does what other tech companies do only later and worse. I suspect the 'AI Buildout' is going to make MSFT worse by turning it into a permanently high capex/opex company and worsening margins.
I wouldn't be buying into it (and I'm not) until the entire C-suite is replaced with actually competent managers who give a crap about more than 'stock go up' - like building VALUE in the business where it makes sense and providing real vision and leadership.
