lots of ponzi guys, scammers and it is very volatile. think about USDC crisis. some people woke up some day and they saw that they lost %10 of their money and get panicked

“If USD Coin had Bitcoin's market cap of $535.7B, 1 USDC would be worth $15.79, an upside of 15x”
Oh no.

Do you trust USDC? Isn't this the same issue with every stablecoin?

Yes if you just do send transactions and you diligently check everything on the hardware wallet every time, you would catch a bad transaction. But it just takes one instance where you don’t check the full string, or you’re a bit tired or distracted and you’re toast.
Also the ledger screen doesn’t show all information in every instance. If you’re sending unsupported ERC20s (which includes things like USDC) it will only show the token contract address not the destination (there is still a way to verify but more involved)
In general, for things that matter, you want to protect with multiple layers, not just rely on one. Practicing good opsec on your machine or ideally a dedicated crypto machine is an additional control layer.
Btw I have seen malware that only interferes with larger transactions so doing a small test transaction doesn’t mitigate that.

On March 13, a hacker conducted a flash loan attack on a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, stealing almost $196 million worth of cryptocurrencies. This is considered the biggest DeFi hack of 2023 so far. The stolen assets include 8.8 million DAI, 849,000 wBTC, 85 million stETH, and 34 million USDC stablecoin. Flash loan attacks are a type of exploit in DeFi where an attacker borrows a large sum of cryptocurrency in a single transaction and then uses it to manipulate the price of a specific asset or execute a malicious trade, all within a single block.

How do I transfer from my Crypto Defi wallet to another wallet? I am new to this obviously. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
It's telling me insufficient fees. I have 🪙 USDC on ETH POLYGON.
It's telling me have no matic to cover the fee. What does this mean? I have to buy $25 in matic just to withdrawal my other crypto? That's crazy.
Someone please help me. Can you tell me what exactly it is that I'm doing wrong? I just want to send my crypto to another address so I can withdraw it to my bank account.

Lol wut. USDC is fully transparent about their reserves and where they are held and have made moves recently away from any small bank risk (post SVB but was already in progress). DAI is fully backed on chain (and again transparent.
USDT fair enough - no one will argue you on that.

Demand is the issue. We still don’t have smart contracts on Stellar, and because of this, there is nothing special to do on Stellar other than sending & receiving payments except [Aquarius](https://aqua.network).
[Soroban](https://soroban.stellar.org) is coming this year. Therefore we will get a lot of on-chain use cases and new possibilities. This will bring value to XLM and increase the usage of Stellar. Soroban should bring a lot of developers and users to Stellar from other popular chains. Developers will build DeFi apps, and all these opportunities will increase the number of active users significantly in addition to SDEX volume and TVL.
Once we have active users and volume, Stellar USDC and many other popular Stellar tokens will be listed on top exchanges.
Soroban is a HUGE milestone for Stellar. It is not out yet, but SDF is already joining different hackathons and events to market Soroban. It is so exciting.
Soroban will be on the mainnet before the end of Q3! Exciting times are ahead of us!

Also, USDC stable coin debacle where others were effected due to holding USDC, DJED had no such holding with it's mint/burn mechanism.

They are exceedingly comfy especially with the UST/LUNA drama tainting algorithmic stablecoins and then the depegging scare of USDC. CoffeeZilla gives plenty of insight though into the shady origins and dealings of Tether.
We probably don’t have to worry for a while about that FUD because of those events. I’m sure the Tether founders are loving every second of this while they continue to slither under the radar of the SEC…

I found the USDC on the stellar blockchain for depositing only on the binance exchange. Exchangers generally accept USDC only from ERC20/TRC20/BSC networks.
Why? Why is there no USDT, EUROC and many others on Stellar?

Exactly right. Who lost 70% of their investment in a year using email? Dumbest fucking posts on this sub. No one wants to admit crypto is RISKY and much riskier than keeping your money in a bank. They keep forgetting about Luna UST CELSIUS blockfi voyager FTX and USDC depegging. There’s been more issues with crypto in the last year then banks in the past 100

Yeah, got that. I figure out that there was an issue in trying to swap from fiat to USDC from the tracking screen.

Yeah. Oil companies do actually make investments in green companies and projects but it's more a PR/market ploy than anything else. What they donate is pittance compared to their profits.
Again, I'm not saying USDC is even bad, but the message is highly hypocritical if not outright nonsensical. I am also sure banks would love to retain control of the new financial system just like they kept power over the old.

True, but if anything USDC being crypto based does seem to eliminate (partialy atleast) some of the fractional banking concerns that I have with Banks in general.

After seeing USDC depeg, I’m a little skeptical that companies will want to use crypto like a bank account holding millions of dollars in value. Maybe it will get there but crypto needs a stable banking system as an on/off ramp
