Re being broke: you shouldn’t be investing in high risk assets unless you are ready to loose it all. Invest into skill building with AI etc
Re crypto: unless you are investing 10k plus limit to BTC and ETH… may be consider something like SOL as that will likely to go up as it has US administrative backing.
Otherwise invest in skills and education so you can create value.
In general when it comes to investing in assets like crypto stocks or real estate, only invest into things you actually understand, not what some random guy on Reddit tells you

Sounds similar as what ETH was going through, and that's going well now.
So I'm thinking SOL just has to gonna wait it out, like ETH has.

Truth is, the SEC routinely extends deadlines on ETF approvals and proposed modifications to existing funds as part of its review process.They’ve done it to the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF Trust, Bitwise’s Ethereum ETF, and BlackRock's request to allow in-kind redemptions for its iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA).
Delays are opportunities.

Most DEXs suck on mobile. Interfaces are broken, bridges don’t load, and I end up giving up. Tried GalaSwap through mobile browser and was surprised. It actually worked. I swapped from SOL to GALA and back using my wallet on phone with no issue.
Fees were basically nothing, transactions were quick, and everything felt light and optimized. They clearly built this with performance in mind.
If they keep this up, I’ll probably use it more than half the DEXs on desktop. Might even onboard a few friends who are new to DeFi because it’s that beginner friendly.

That old chestnut, you might see some more gains, all be it small but the cycle is near the top, you should have been buying SOL at 10-20$ and taking profits on the way up from $100 upwards.

There is no World where Solana succeeds long term while ethereum exists imo.
There is just no Adoption besides scams and meme coins extracting money from retail. All relevant Adoption e.g. companies onboarded (coinbase, robinhood..) stablecoins, RWAs is happening on Ethereum, Solana barely gets crumbs.
Reasons:
• Solana operates at loss every month. Exp>Rev
• Foundation refuses to disclose SOL holdings
• Team lied to investors about circulating supply
• >50% of validators would collapse w/o Solana directly subsidizing them
• 10 Systemic failures since 2021
• Aug 7th, critical bug was "magically" patched in mins—impossible on a decentralized network where validators have to communicate
• 42% $SOL validators run by FIVE data centers
• 99% of validators run by data centers
• Costs ~800k to run 1 validator at breakeven
• Fakes TPS by including consensus messages
• Faked Billions of $ of TVL in 2022
• 50%+ Pump fun tokens are sniped in the initial block, meaning users are systematically being made exit liquidity
• ~95% of $SOL casino users verifiably rekt

I think ETH will continue outperforming sol for a while. My plan is to hold only ETH and later rotate into SOL
