I think the penny stock comparison actually makes a lot of sense, especially with the hype driven ones. The big difference is that some alts do have real utility, but the speculative end of the market definitely feels like the same pump-and-dump psychology. I got burned on DOGE and SHIB too, so I amm way more skeptical of anything being sold purely on hype noww
