I’m in that Current situation except it’s not with stocks, it’s with crypto and Pokémon cards.
The phrase that I keep with me, is “being early and being wrong feel the same” … with almost every investment that I make, I am trying to beat the crowd and never follow hype or trends. Part of that because it’s a game to me. It’s a test of courage, conviction, and a bet on yourself.
The only things that you will hold through tough periods are things that you actually believe in.
My belief is in crypto token QNT and LINK. It’s not a shit coin or a random bet - there is a thesis.
QNT is being used in the digital euro trial, has zero competition for its specific use case, has the best tokenomics in all of crypto, has to be purchased and locked by banks in order for them to use the software that QNT unlocks (overledger). It’s digital infrastructure for the future, and the only way to avoid using it is by a government building their own private block chain. For a competitor to catch up to them, it would take years, and by then it would be too late.
Link is essential for other crypto apps to communicate with each other and without link they would die. Same thing, different use case.. both Plumbing tokens
In Pokémon, I am buying Topps cards. Cards that nobody wants. But you look at the landscape of Pokémon right now. Vintage is blowing up. People don’t realize how small the populations are with Topps and that it has a unique nostalgia connection with people that grew up with them - the same people that are coming into their peak earning years
I’m trying to break out of the matrix, I want to have vacation homes, I want to travel the world, I want to have it all and the only way that I feel like I can get there is by making asymmetric bets
