Yes, that's a key element. It's exactly what makes this strategy so great: no matter how high the underlying goes, you still make money. You can also easily manage POP and the credit you collect, e.g. by placing the call spread ATM, like in this high-POP jade lizard example. It's a great strategy for playing volatility skew or earnings. One of my favourites.

I don't want to choose any 1 best strategy. Mathematically this has the same payoff profile as short put with significantly less bp: unlimited downside and capped upside. Todays numbers on SPY and RegT acc - 100 stocks + CC: $35k BP, short put for 51days only 14k of BP. You can also do PMCC: Synthetic long stock + Covered Call ($15k bp). Stock gives you staying power, you can wait as long as you want to rally, but you can't manage, you have 50%POP and no way to manage

Wall street tells stories that get money into the stock market. This one is AI and they say there is lots of gold there. Pick and shovel sellers made a fortune and wall street couldn't help crashing semi in July because they saw too good of an opportunity to take money from those overleveraged gamblers.
Can they tank semi now? I don't think so. The gold hasn't been dug out yet. If they tank the pick and shovel sellers, that's telling the investors there is no gold. The bubble goes POP.
As always, they will destroy the shorts with some ridiculous pump until they are actively trying to tank it.
That's my theory anyways.

Good opportunity. Calls are juicy now. EWZ have very low correlation compared to market, 0.21 to SPY. In my portfolio I had many strangles with very high POP, practically all of them were winners - only 1-2 strike was once breached in past few months. It has also very small size - $37. Strangle BP \~ 400USD. When you trade on that big underlying you feel like surfing on wave.

Quick background: full-time software developer at an MNC, and I built this bot on nights and weekends. Lately work has taken over, with longer days, releases and on-call. A trading bot needs daily attention: Kotak's API makes you log in with a fresh TOTP code every morning, and someone has to keep it running and watch it through market hours. I can't do that alongside my job right now, so I'd rather hand it to someone who can.
I did think about open-sourcing it for free. But I've been building side projects on an old laptop that's struggling, and I need a new MacBook to keep building AI apps. this is how I'm funding that, which is why I'm not giving it away.
**What's built (Next.js, uses your own Kotak Neo API):**
* Live index options dashboard with paper trading, one shared-capital pool, and a strict stop/target on every trade
* 10+ intraday strategies tracked live against real option prices, plus backtests after costs
* Buying + selling book (spreads, iron fly, straddles) with margin that matches Kotak's numbers
* Strategy builder: exact payoff, breakevens, POP, greeks and full charges
* Stocks to Watch (top 50 F&O stocks) and AI research on any NSE stock (OpenAI + Jev)
* AI morning news digest filtered to Nifty 500 / F&O stocks
* Positions and orders in one place with every charge shown, plus a trade journal and report card
* A "Lab" that reviews each day and tests new strategy ideas before they're allowed to trade
**Paper results so far:** \+₹39k on ₹2L over 4 sessions (36 trades). Most of it came from one strategy on one strong trend day, and the other strategies are net negative. Paper only, not proven, not a guarantee. You're buying the code and the tooling, not a money printer or signals.
**Runs on your own laptop, no server needed.** Your keys and data stay on your machine. Running cost: Kotak API free, OpenAI about ₹100–200/month, plus your own Jev plan. Everything else uses free data sources.
