To a certain extent. The vast majority of my short strangles and iron condors start out as delta neutral setups. Where I have to roll out in time, one side or the other may be closer to ATM. If I'm able to roll for a credit back to delta neutral, both sides may be closer to ATM than the original setup. Both these predicaments change side break evens and Probability of Profit (POP) metrics.
However, one of the points of rolling out is to collect additional credits, improve your break evens, and increase the probability of being able to scratch the trade out for a debit equal to total credits received or to potentially turn it into a winner. Just me, but I generally look to scratch out earnings plays that haven't worked out fairly immediately.
