I read a little about mechanisms you mentioned bc I didn't know them. PIVX’s LLMQ/ChainLocks provide strong finality, but they do not completely eliminate the chain selection problem. A node that has been offline for a long time still needs a trusted checkpoint or assumption about the correct historical state. The signatures prove who approved a chain, not independently that it is the canonical history from genesis.
Also, in PoS system, money goes to people that already have money, rich get richer, just like in FIAT.
Also when you are so worried about energy waste, you should remember that bitcoin promotes cheap energy. Finally only green energy will be used for mining.
This PIVX thing has no chance to survive. Ultimate shitcoin.
